Women over 40, pay attention to these types of cancer!

As the incidence and mortality of cancer continue to rise, women over 40 are at high risk of gynecological diseases. This makes us realize that daily prevention is inevitable, so what should we do to prevent gynecological cancer?

1. Four types of cancer that women are prone to at the age of 40:

1. Breast cancer

In my country, breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women, with nearly 200,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer each year. The peak age for breast cancer is between 45 and 55 years old, and large cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou are the hardest hit by breast cancer. Fortunately, breast cancer is relatively the least likely to recur, and nearly 70% of patients can be cured.

People at high risk of breast cancer:

40 to 50 years old is the high-risk age group for breast cancer, but it is generally difficult to detect through routine physical examinations. Generally speaking, women over 35 years old should have a basic breast X-ray once a year.

2. Ovarian cancer

The age of onset of ovarian cancer is around 40-50 years old. Because the ovaries are deep in the pelvic cavity, even if a tumor grows, it cannot be easily detected. In addition, in the early stages of ovarian cancer, the symptoms are not very obvious or even absent, and are mostly manifested as abdominal distension. Therefore, many women take it lightly, thinking that it is caused by indigestion, middle-aged obesity, etc. Therefore, it is often too late when it is discovered.

Ovarian cancer high risk groups:

Ovarian cancer can occur at any age, and the older you are, the more likely you are to get it. It usually affects menopausal women, and is more common in postmenopausal women, with the age of onset usually being around 40-50 years old. In addition, single or childless women have a higher incidence of ovarian cancer.

3. Cervical cancer

Cervical cancer ranks first among cancers of the female reproductive organs. The peak age for in situ cancer is 30-35 years old, and for invasive cancer is 45-55 years old. In recent years, the incidence of cervical cancer has a tendency to become younger. In the early stages, it may manifest as contact bleeding, which mostly occurs after sexual intercourse. When the disease worsens, it may manifest as prolonged menstruation, increased menstrual flow, irregular vaginal bleeding after menopause, etc.

People at high risk of cervical cancer:

The age of cervical cancer onset is mostly over 40 years old, with the peak incidence being between 50 and 65 years old.

4. Endometrial cancer

This cancer is common in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women, and is the third most common gynecological malignancy of the reproductive tract leading to death. In the early stages, it may manifest as increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period, intermittent and variable menstrual flow, and postmenopausal women may experience vaginal bleeding again; increased leucorrhea, like light blood and water, and in the late stages, pus and blood discharge with a foul odor, accompanied by lower abdominal pain.

People at high risk of endometrial cancer:

Endometrial cancer is more common in middle-aged and elderly women, with an average age of onset of 59 years old. 75% of patients develop the disease after menopause, and are often complicated by diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, which are also called the endometrial cancer triad.

2. Four points to prevent gynecological cancer

Many women love beauty and slimness, which is not wrong, but they want to be thin even if they are "dead", and they are not happy if they are not skinny, so they diet excessively, which leads to malnutrition, endocrine disorders, irregular menstruation and even amenorrhea, which seriously damages physical and mental health.

You can learn which factors are related to the occurrence of tumors, such as the frequency and high-incidence age of malignant tumors; those who give birth prematurely, have frequent births, and have many births are prone to cervical cancer, while those who have few births or are infertile are prone to endometrial cancer; unclean sexual life can cause infection of the female reproductive organs; long-term stimulation of high levels of estrogen is one of the causes of endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer; heavy smoking may be one of the important causes of cervical cancer; and a high-fat diet may induce endometrial cancer.

In addition, pay attention to the following four points in gynecological cancer prevention:

One is to observe blood: that is, vaginal bleeding, especially postmenopausal bleeding, contact bleeding, etc.

Second, observe the vaginal discharge: normal vaginal discharge is a small amount of white and slightly sticky secretions. Purulent vaginal discharge, bloody vaginal discharge, rice-water-like vaginal discharge, watery vaginal discharge, etc. are all abnormal.

The third is to feel the lump: Develop the habit of self-examination. In the early morning, after urinating and defecating on an empty stomach, lie flat on the bed, bend your knees slightly, relax your abdomen, and use your hands to touch the lower abdomen from light to heavy, and the lump can be found.

Fourth, feeling pain.
