Globally, there are tens of thousands of new cases of liver cancer every year. Due to the vague understanding of liver cancer risk factors by patients, many treatable liver diseases eventually develop into liver cancer, causing regrets. So if we know in advance which groups of people are favored by liver cancer, then we can take scientific prevention measures in advance, thereby reducing the incidence of liver cancer to a certain extent. Next, let's take a look at who is more likely to be targeted by liver cancer. People at high risk for liver cancer include: (1) Those with a history of chronic liver disease: Current research shows that there is a trilogy of "hepatitis-cirrhosis-liver cancer". Clinical survey data show that about 10% of viral hepatitis develops into chronic active hepatitis, of which 50% can develop into cirrhosis, and the probability of liver cancer in cirrhosis is 9.9%~16.6%; among them, hepatitis B is the main cause, followed by hepatitis C; chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis are often the basis for the onset of liver cancer, but not all patients with hepatitis and cirrhosis will develop liver cancer. Therefore, those who have had type B/type C viral hepatitis and have turned chronic or have developed post-hepatitis cirrhosis should quit drinking, actively treat chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis, and pay special attention to regular physical examinations, and must not take it lightly. (2) Those with a family history of liver cancer: Studies have shown that although liver cancer is not hereditary, it does run in families. Certain genetic defects may increase the risk of liver cancer. Therefore, family members of liver cancer patients should go to the hospital for relevant examinations. (3) Alcoholics: In many European and American countries, hepatitis is less common, but drinking is an important factor in chronic liver disease. Drinking is associated with an increased risk of liver cancer. (4) Patients with severe fatty liver: Due to lack of attention to diet and consumption of large amounts of high-fat foods, the liver is burdened and the ability to break down fat is reduced, resulting in severe fatty liver, which can easily develop into liver cancer. (5) People living in areas with a high incidence of liver cancer: In my country, Guangxi Fusui, Jiangsu Qidong, Guangdong Shunde, Fujian Tongan and other areas are areas with a high incidence of liver cancer. Epidemiological surveys have found that the food consumed by residents in areas with a high incidence of liver cancer in my country is contaminated with aflatoxin to varying degrees. Therefore, people living in areas with a high incidence of liver cancer should pay attention to liver cancer screening. |
