Muscle strains and first aid

Muscle strains and first aid

Among adolescents, muscle strains are most common in the posterior thigh muscles and calf muscles. They usually refer to injuries caused by rapid muscle contraction or excessive stretching during strenuous exercise.

The pain of muscle strain is intense and lasts for a long time, which will cause great trouble to students' study and life.

Correct first aid method: Stop exercising immediately and apply ice packs or cold towels to the painful points for 30 minutes. Avoid rubbing or applying heat.
