Aspirin is used for the prevention and treatment of thrombotic diseases and is usually taken once a day. There is no consensus on whether the drug should be taken in the morning or at night. The important thing is that it should be taken for a long time. Studies have found that the peak period of cardiovascular events is 6:00-12:00 every day. Platelets are more active in the early morning. It takes 3-4 hours for enteric-coated or sustained-release aspirin to reach the peak of blood drug after oral administration. If aspirin is taken every morning, it cannot provide the best protection during the period of high incidence of cardiovascular events; if the drug is taken before bedtime, it can better inhibit platelet function in the early morning. However, there is currently no randomized controlled study to confirm that taking aspirin before bed can reduce cardiovascular events more. Since aspirin's antiplatelet aggregation effect is continuous after it enters the human body to exert its therapeutic effect, there is no need to overemphasize taking the drug at a fixed time. |
