How to prevent and recover from stroke?

Understanding Stroke

Stroke, common people call it "brain stroke"

According to statistics

There are about 1.8 million new stroke cases in my country each year

One person has a stroke every 12 seconds

One person dies from a stroke every 21 seconds

Scientific early rehabilitation treatment can effectively relieve symptoms

01 What is stroke

Cù zhòng, the same as “猝”, means sudden, the patient is hit in an instant. People often say “cerebral hemorrhage” means the sudden rupture of cerebral blood vessels. It mainly includes ischemic stroke (i.e. cerebral infarction) and hemorrhagic stroke (including cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, etc.).

Stroke is characterized by high morbidity, high disability rate, high mortality rate, high recurrence rate, and high economic burden. Globally, stroke is the second leading cause of death and the main cause of adult disability.

Therefore, stroke is a disease that seriously endangers human health. It not only brings pain to patients, but also creates huge economic and mental burdens on families and society.

02 Symptoms of stroke

Early symptoms

Weakness or varying degrees of paralysis of one side of the body (with or without the face);

Numbness on one side of the face or a crooked corner of the mouth;

Slurred speech or trouble understanding speech;

The eyes stare to one side;

Loss of or blurred vision in one or both eyes;

Severe headache and vomiting that were rare in the past;

Often have depression, anxiety, emotional disorders;

Impairment of consciousness or convulsions;

Dizziness with vomiting.

All of the above symptoms are typical manifestations of a stroke. Once the patient has a more serious reaction, he or she needs to be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Rapidly identify stroke

FAST evaluation method

Patients and their families can identify early symptoms of stroke using the following assessment methods:

03 Common factors of stroke

Stroke is preventable and controllable, including both modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors (as shown above).

By changing unhealthy lifestyles at an early stage, proactively controlling various risk factors, and actively intervening in the risk factors that have been discovered, we can prevent cerebrovascular disease from occurring or delay the age of onset, and reduce the incidence, recurrence, and mortality of stroke.
