Jointly build a media ecosystem for cancer prevention and treatment - 2023 CACA Media Cooperation Communication Conference was successfully held

On September 5, the "2023 CACA Media Cooperation Communication Meeting" organized by the China Anti-Cancer Association was successfully held online. Academician Fan Daiming, Chairman of the China Anti-Cancer Association, Li Ziyu, Vice Chairman, Secretary-General Zhao Yong, and publicity leaders of various branches of the association, more than 370 people from more than 160 media including People's Daily Online, Xinhuanet, Economic Information Daily, China Education Daily, Physician News, Tianjin Science and Technology Press, Great Experts, Weibo Health, etc. attended the meeting, which was chaired by Zhao Yong, Secretary-General of the China Anti-Cancer Association.

Academician Fan Daiming, Chairman of the China Anti-Cancer Association, pointed out that in the past five years, the China Anti-Cancer Association has adhered to the core concept of "cancer prevention and treatment, win in integration", launched six major events such as "building a large army, holding a conference, writing a big book, establishing a big rule, creating a big journal, and giving a big lecture", and led the association's 680,000 members to create a new situation for the association's innovative development. He vividly explained the core concept, creation process, promotion model and industry impact of the CACA guideline development work from the perspective of national strategy, the breadth of universal health, and the depth of discipline construction.

In 2022-2023, in order to promote the construction of local guidelines in my country, the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association organized more than 13,000 experts to compile my country's first integrated tumor diagnosis and treatment guidelines (CACA), with a total of 30 million words in Chinese, English and test question banks. At the same time, a total of 100 "CACA Guidelines Intensive Reading Tour" series activities were organized in 31 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions. So far, 92 CACA Guidelines Intensive Reading Tours have been completed, with a total mileage of 270,000 miles. A total of more than 300 academicians, 61 provincial and municipal health and health commission leaders, and presidents from 75 national first-level societies in various fields have provided review and guidance on the guidelines; the CACA guidelines have entered more than 200 university campuses, and hundreds of central and local media have participated in the national live broadcast and reporting, with a total live broadcast viewing of more than 2.3 billion people, setting off a nationwide wave of "learning guidelines, using guidelines, and complying with regulations."

The promotion of the CACA guidelines has caused a huge response at home and abroad. The guidelines supplement and improve the existing national cancer prevention and treatment system on the basis of fully implementing the "Opinions on Further Improving the Medical and Health Service System" issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. It is the fundamental guideline for the establishment of a high-quality and efficient cancer prevention and treatment system in the country in the future. It is of great significance to improving the health level of urban and rural residents, promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and helping to promote Chinese-style modernization.

During the interactive session, Wan Shicheng, Chairman of People's Daily People's Health, Hu Yang, Director of Big Health Operations of Xinhuanet Client, Zhang Yanping, Executive President and Executive Editor-in-Chief of Physician Newspaper, Wang Xiaobo, Senior Reporter of Economic Information Daily, Yuan Yin, Planning and Operations Director of Brand Center of China Education Press, Fang Yan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tianjin Science and Technology Press, Yao Juanjuan, Chairman of Big Experts, Li Liang, General Manager of Weibo Pan-Life Operations Department, Wang Jue, Chairman of Liangyihui, Duan Xiong, Head of Lewen Medicine, and other media leaders, as well as experts such as Professor Zhi Xiuyi of Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University and Professor Tian Yantao of Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences offered their wisdom and suggestions and put forward a series of constructive suggestions for social media cooperation.

This conference is a conference that embodies the concept of integration, which is the integration of concepts, thinking, working methods and experience and suggestions. At present, the promotion of CACA guidelines includes three steps.

First, the “battle of tough battles” is to do a good job in publicity and summary at the end of the CACA Guide Intensive Reading Tour;

Second, the “protracted war”, to cooperate with the association to launch the 11 promotion work modules of the CACA guidelines in the next phase: book publishing, journal publication, intensive reading tour, campus visits, assessment and certification, grassroots training, media topics, work creation, international promotion, popular science education, guideline application tool development, etc.;

Third, in the "large-scale operation", based on the promotion of CACA guidelines, we will work with the media to create a new social media integration model of "co-construction of activities - co-construction of content - co-construction of columns - co-construction of platforms", create an integrated media ecology for cancer prevention and treatment, and help achieve the goal of "Healthy China 2030".
