Hypertension is "most afraid" of these 7 dangerous moments, the risk of sudden death increases sharply!

May 17th is World Hypertension Day. This year's theme is "Accurate measurement, effective control, healthy and long life."

Hypertension is a common and frequently occurring disease worldwide, which seriously affects the health and quality of life of patients. Hypertension is an important risk factor for stroke and coronary heart disease. Many hypertensive patients do not feel anything in the early stages. Hypertension is like an invisible killer, quietly eroding people's health.

Clinically, hypertension is mainly divided into two categories: primary and secondary. In my country, about 95% of hypertension is primary hypertension, and its occurrence is closely related to many factors such as genetics, age, mental stress, environmental factors, unhealthy lifestyle and eating habits. Only by taking multiple measures can hypertension be effectively prevented and treated.

In fact, there is a "golden period" when hypertension first appears. Active adjustments can hopefully avoid the occurrence of hypertension and even restore blood pressure to normal.

1 Seize the "golden period" and the "fate" of hypertension can be reversed. As we all know, the ideal blood pressure value is 120/80 mmHg. If three measurements on different days all show that the high pressure exceeds 140 mmHg or (and) the low pressure exceeds 90 mmHg, it can be diagnosed as hypertension. If the blood pressure is between normal and hypertension, it belongs to the pre-hypertension stage.

Data shows that one in every two adults in my country is in the pre-hypertension stage, and 60% of patients with pre-hypertension will develop hypertension within 5 years.

But in fact, the early stage of hypertension is also the "golden period" for reversing the "fate" of hypertension! At this time, the patient's blood pressure will fluctuate and increase, and the body functions will also begin to be disordered, and symptoms such as paroxysmal dizziness, tinnitus, headache, insomnia, numbness of hands and feet, irritability, palpitations, etc. may occur.

If active intervention is taken, such as controlling weight, reducing salt intake, quitting smoking and limiting alcohol, and actively exercising, blood pressure may return to normal and the occurrence of hypertension and its complications may be avoided.

2 Hypertensive patients should be alert to 7 "dangerous moments" The blood vessels of hypertensive patients are under great pressure for a long time, and their fragility increases. If the blood pressure rises suddenly, it is likely to cause blood vessels to rupture and bleed, inducing a crisis. Therefore, be especially alert to the following "dangerous moments":

1. After getting up in the morning

The human body's blood pressure fluctuates all the time. Most people's blood pressure is low at night and high during the day, especially in the morning when they wake up, there will be a "morning peak in blood pressure". This is a normal physiological phenomenon, but for patients with hypertension, it is very easy to cause cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents.

In this case, it is important to grasp the correct time to take medication. Antihypertensive drugs can be taken when you wake up in the morning, which helps avoid high blood pressure in the morning.

2. After a full meal

After a full meal, a large amount of blood flows to the gastrointestinal tract to help digest and absorb food, and the blood supply to the myocardium is relatively reduced, which can easily cause insufficient blood supply to the coronary arteries.

In addition, if a large amount of high-fat diet is consumed, it is easy to increase blood lipids and further increase blood viscosity, especially for patients with high blood lipids, which is more likely to increase the risk of stroke. It is recommended that patients with hypertension eat a low-salt and low-fat diet and only eat until they are 70% full at each meal.

3. When straining to defecate

When straining during bowel movements, abdominal pressure increases, causing a sudden rise in blood pressure. Hypertensive patients suffering from constipation should drink more water and increase their intake of vegetables and fruits. If necessary, they can use enema or other drugs to help with bowel movements.

4. When suddenly exposed to hot or cold stimulation

Cold stimulation (such as sudden drop in temperature, cold shower, etc.) will increase adrenaline secretion, cause vasoconstriction, increase blood pressure, and increase the risk of cerebral hemorrhage;

High temperature stimulation (such as taking a hot bath) will cause the dilation of blood vessels in the epidermis throughout the body, and a large amount of blood will flow into the peripheral blood vessels, resulting in a decrease in heart and brain blood flow, and an increased risk of myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction.

Therefore, it is recommended that patients with hypertension keep the water temperature at around 40°C when bathing for 10 to 15 minutes.

5. When bending over to lift heavy objects

Hypertensive patients should also try to avoid bending over to lift heavy objects. Because when bending over, the head is lower than the heart, a large amount of blood will flow to the brain. Lifting heavy objects will further increase the blood pressure in the brain, which can easily lead to rupture of cerebral blood vessels.

6. When your mood fluctuates greatly

Excessive emotional fluctuations can cause abnormal excitement of the sympathetic nerves, stimulate the body to release large amounts of adrenaline, norepinephrine, etc., constrict blood vessels, increase peripheral vascular resistance, thereby increasing blood pressure and increasing the risk of stroke.

Therefore, patients with hypertension should try to maintain a calm mentality, avoid extreme joy or sorrow, anxiety and stress, and avoid watching scenes or film and television works with tense or terrifying plots.

7. When you stop taking the medicine suddenly

Stopping medication suddenly without authorization is likely to cause large fluctuations in blood pressure, which in turn increases the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents. If medication adjustment is indeed necessary, it should be done under the guidance of a doctor.

Six steps to prevent high blood pressure

★Persist in exercise. Exercise is good medicine. Regular and regular physical activity can prevent and control high blood pressure, such as brisk walking, swimming, Tai Chi, square dancing and housework.

★Limit salt intake Excessive intake of sodium salt can easily cause water and sodium retention in the body, leading to increased blood volume and, in turn, increased blood pressure. It is recommended that adults consume no more than 5 grams of salt per day and eat less pickled vegetables and other foods.

★Eat less high-fat and high-sugar foods. Excess energy is not good for your health, so limit the use of cooking oil, eat less high-fat and high-sugar foods, and eat more vegetables and fruits.

★ Eat less fast food. Fast food with thick oil and red sauce is not good for health. Eat at home as much as possible to control the intake of fat, salt and sugar.

★Quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption. Harmful substances in tobacco can stimulate vasoconstriction, damage vascular endothelial tissue, reduce vascular elasticity, and increase the risk of hypertension. The same is true for alcohol. As the amount of alcohol consumed increases, ethanol enters the bloodstream and can act on the nerve center, which can easily cause high blood pressure over time.

★ Ensure sleep Long-term insomnia can lead to overexcitement of the sympathetic nerves, causing abnormal increases in heart rate and blood pressure. In daily life, we should develop good work and rest habits, avoid staying up late for a long time, and maintain a good attitude.
