According to a report recently released by market research firm Counterpoint, in the second quarter of 2024, Unisoc's global smartphone chip market share reached 13%, successfully tying Apple and becoming the world's third largest smartphone chip supplier. The report pointed out that Unisoc's market share increased by 4 percentage points month-on-month, while Apple's market share decreased by 3 percentage points month-on-month. Unisoc's 5G chips have been continuously shipped overseas to first-tier brands such as Nubia, LAVA, HMD, MOTO and mainstream brands in the local market, with remarkable results in 5G overseas expansion. After Unisoc's 5G chips entered Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia last year, Unisoc's 5G chips further advanced into India, South Asia and other regions in the first half of this year. In addition, the latest terminals launched overseas by vivo and Xiaomi are all powered by Unisoc chips. The report also shows that MediaTek and Qualcomm still rank first and second with shares of 32% and 31% respectively, but the gap has narrowed significantly from 14% in the previous quarter to 1%. Huawei HiSilicon's market share is also continuing to rise, reaching 4% this quarter. Zikuai Technology |
