Transsion Financial Report: From January to June 2022, Transsion's operating income was 23.109 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.12%

Recently, Transsion Holdings, known as the "King of African Mobile Phones", released its 2022 first half performance, achieving operating income of 23.109 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.12%; net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was 1.654 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.53%. The report pointed out that Transsion Holdings' sales expenses in the first half of this year were 1.568 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8.03%, mainly due to the reduction of publicity and promotion expenses in the sales expenses of this period;

R&D expenses were 890 million yuan, an increase of 39.09% year-on-year, mainly due to the company's continued increase in R&D investment in this period. The number of R&D personnel was 3,482 at the end of June 2022.

IDC data shows that in the first half of this year, Transsion's share of the global mobile phone market was 11.4%, ranking third among global mobile phone brand manufacturers. Among them, its share of the global smartphone market was 6.1%, ranking sixth.

In the African market, Transsion’s market share of smartphones in Africa exceeds 40%, ranking first, making it the undisputed “King of Africa”.

In the South Asian market, Pakistan has a smartphone market share of 36.8%, ranking first; Bangladesh has a smartphone market share of 19.7%, ranking first; and India has a smartphone market share of 6.9%, ranking sixth.

It is understood that Transsion Holdings' main products are three major brands of mobile phones, TECNO, itel and Infinix, including feature phones and smartphones. Sales areas are mainly concentrated in emerging market countries around the world, such as Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and South America.
