App Annie: In 2021, the average Chinese person will use their mobile phone for 3.3 hours a day

Recently, mobile data and analysis company App Annie released the "2022 Mobile State Report", which shows that global mobile device usage reached 3.8 trillion hours in 2021, a record high. The top 10 mobile markets in terms of usage time use their phones for an average of 4.8 hours a day, and Chinese users rank 17th in the world in terms of mobile phone usage, using their phones for an average of 3.3 hours a day.

In addition, in 2021, user spending on mobile apps reached $170 billion, an increase of 19% over last year, and downloads continued to grow at a year-on-year rate of 5% to 230 billion times.

App Annie CEO Theodore Krantz said mobile devices continue to break records in almost every data category, including usage time, downloads and revenue, while large screens are slowly dying.

It is worth mentioning that according to the "18th National Reading Survey" released in April last year, the daily mobile phone usage time of adult citizens in China in 2020 was 100.75 minutes, the average daily e-reader usage time was 11.4 minutes, and the average daily tablet usage time was 9.73 minutes in 2020.
