DCCI: Sharing of 2012 Mobile Application Ecosystem Data

In May 2012, DCCI released a 2012 mobile application ecosystem data sharing report titled "The Rise of the Mobile Application World in 2012". The core content of the report is as follows:

1. King of The User: The global intelligent era is coming, and the Chinese effect dominates the world

As can be seen from the chart below, China's smartphone penetration rate and share are basically commensurate with its status as a populous country. Although China's 3G standard is not as fast as that of foreign countries, the share of smartphones is higher than the global average.

From the development of 3G users in China, the proportion of 3G users among the new users of telecom operators is relatively high, which may be related to the operators' vigorous promotion of 3G services.

2. King of The Terminal: Apple and Samsung compete for supremacy, and the rise of the third pole is imminent

3. King of The System: Android system is out of control, Google's dominance is in danger. The following figure shows the global share of smartphones. It can be predicted that the share of smartphones will inevitably increase year by year.

The following figure shows the mobile phone systems of the major competing smartphone operating systems. For example, Android and iPhone are the main players at present, while Windows Phone still needs to work hard to break through.

4. King of the Store: Creators lose control, promoters maximize profits The following figure shows the scale of apps in the world's mainstream mobile app stores as of March 2012. It can be seen that the scale of applications on mainstream system platforms has increased significantly with the improvement of the industrial chain.

The following figure shows the development of China Mobile App Store. From 2009 to March 2012, the market share of China Mobile App Store can be seen that everyone wants to get a piece of the pie from the software distribution platform.

5. King of The Apps: Apps become a new medium for games, and mass entertainment creates a new economy. The following figure shows the cumulative App category structure distribution of Android and Chinese market app stores in China. It can be seen that there are already a lot of applications that meet various needs of users.
