What causes cervical atrophy?

The cervix is a part of the uterus. In the female vagina, the vaginal part of the cervix can be seen. The causes of cervical contraction can be divided into two categories, physiological contraction and physiological contraction. The former is the degeneration of some organs and tissues at a certain stage of body growth and development.

Generally speaking, uterine atrophy is a physiological manifestation. The female urinary system is controlled by the cerebral cortex-hypothalamic-pituitary-uterine-ovarian axis. If you reach the age of menopause, the ovaries will decline, the secretion of female hormones will decrease, and the reproductive organs will gradually shrink. For the uterus, the shrinkage of the uterine body is more obvious than that of the cervix, which is manifested as a smaller uterine body. Cervical shrinkage can be manifested as a shortening of the cervical canal, brittle cervical material, lack of elasticity, and reduced secretion. It is a physiological change. As long as there is no abnormal reaction, it does not need to be solved and you can get through it with ease.

If it is caused by physiological factors, such as endocrine system disorders, resulting in endocrine imbalance, female hormone abnormalities, or due to some diseases, such as uterine and ovarian problems, the female hormone level will suddenly decrease. In addition to the shrinkage of the reproductive organs, there will also be a series of body reactions, such as early onset of menopause, mainly manifested as neurological symptoms, such as irritability, restlessness, or depression; some people mainly show changes in the urinary system and endocrine system, mainly manifested as repeated urinary tract infections, vaginitis, unstable blood pressure, and even coronary heart disease. If these symptoms occur, timely hormone treatment is required.

In short, physiological cervical contraction does not require special treatment. Otherwise, see a gynecologist in time, treat the symptoms and maintain health.
