I feel tired doing anything! This generation of young people is not incompetent, but...

Recently, the topic "Why young people don't like to go to IKEA anymore" has become a hot topic.

In addition, topics such as "Young people don't like to eat crayfish anymore", "Young people don't like to change their mobile phones anymore", "Young people don't like trendy toys anymore", and "Young people don't like to buy big brands anymore" have also become hot searches... Why is this?

This is because young people are so tired...

Fatigue is not a figment of the imagination, but a very real physical condition that is closely related to people's overall health.

After all, it is energy that drives every cell in the body and it is energy that makes people energetic.

When energy is low, cells, organs and tissues—including the brain—are at risk because they lack the resources they need to function normally.

Although fatigue can be unwelcome and disruptive, it is the body's messenger, delivering information about its internal state.

Dr. Gundry found that his fatigue patients all had one thing in common: high levels of multiple inflammatory markers.

He later confirmed this conclusion by testing inflammatory markers for 20 years in patients who were not feeling particularly unwell: before office workers had time to eat dinner, their bodies had already been ignited by the flames of inflammation, and maintaining this flame requires energy.

Inflammation is the body's immune response, and it exists so that the body can quickly detect invaders when they breach its borders and then launch a defensive attack. This attack takes the form of inflammation.

We need inflammation to survive, but if it's not controlled, it can harm the body. In fact, recent research has linked inflammation to nearly every chronic disease that afflicts us, from cardiovascular disease to metabolic disorders like obesity and diabetes to cancer, autoimmune disease, and neurodegeneration. The evidence is clear that inflammation can make us sick, and inflammation can also make us tired.

Remember those office workers who burned the same number of calories as hunter-gatherers? We found the reason: Inflammation consumes a lot of energy.

Where does inflammation come from? It can be summarized as 3L.

The first L is leaky gut . Modern processed foods, pesticides and other chemicals, and the use of various prescription drugs have put our intestinal walls through a storm. All of these factors combine to damage the integrity of the intestinal wall, causing tiny holes in the intestinal wall, allowing bacteria and other harmful molecules to leak out of the intestine and enter the blood and surrounding tissues. Because 70% to 80% of the immune system exists in the tissue layers that make up the intestinal wall and the fat surrounding the intestine, where there is leaky gut, there is inflammation.

The second L is for lectins . Lectins are proteins found in certain plants that are part of the plant's defense system, protecting the plant and its seeds from being eaten by predators, including humans. Lectins create holes in the intestinal lining of predators - so imagine what happens when they come into contact with an already weak or leaky gut. Not only do lectins irritate the gut and cause inflammation, they can also pass through the intestinal lining into the bloodstream, where our immune system recognizes them as foreign proteins, triggering a larger inflammatory response.

The last L is lipopolysaccharides . Lipopolysaccharides are fragments of bacterial cell walls that can cross the intestinal wall and cause inflammation even if the gut is not leaky. When these tiny bacterial cell walls are in the microbiome ecology in the intestine, they do not cause any trouble, but when they cross the intestinal wall and enter the blood, they can trigger a local or even systemic defense attack by the immune system.

Most of the time, inflammation occurs in the liver, which severely affects energy production, but LPS can also enter the blood and lymph, activating immune cells throughout the body, including the brain. In this way, inflammation and exhaustion never stop.

The chronic, low-grade inflammation caused by our modern diet and lifestyle continues to harm our bodies. Fatigue is a warning from the body that cannot be pushed through or ignored.

Inflammation is a sign that the body is valiantly trying to protect you from harm—but in many cases, you’re the one unintentionally causing harm to your body.

Instead of drinking yet another cup of milk tea, stop and listen to your body.
