During festivals, people always have to enjoy a feast, and all kinds of delicious food and drinks are especially popular during the Spring Festival. "Too much oil and water, and constant drinking", be careful of TA! Note: Beverages are also high-purine foods. Animal offal, sardines, bacon, cured meat, beef, lamb, etc. are typical high-purine foods. In addition, various drinks may also cause elevated uric acid, such as fructose drinks and wine, which are prone to cause gout attacks, especially beer and strong liquor. Not only does alcohol itself contain purine, which causes an increase in uric acid, but it can also increase uric acid production through metabolic consumption, and alcohol can cause a decrease in uric acid excretion. If you suddenly eat or drink too much, the purine produced by the body will suddenly be higher than the normal level, the body will not be able to complete the metabolism, and it will eventually cause an increase in uric acid in the body. Note: Gout does not only target the feet, because uric acid crystals like to deposit in areas that are subject to a lot of friction, are easily damaged, and are susceptible to cold. Our first metatarsophalangeal joint (the joint that connects the big toe and the sole of the foot) is exactly such a joint, so pain and synovial inflammation often occur here. In addition, gout is also prone to occur in the ankles, knees, etc. If you find that your first metatarsophalangeal joint is swollen and painful for no reason, or your movement is limited; or even if you find small grayish-white nodules on the joints, auricles, elbows, tendons (such as the Achilles tendon), etc., you should suspect the possibility of gout and see a doctor as soon as possible. Especially after a big meal, if the above-mentioned parts become extremely painful rapidly within a day, and then gradually ease after a period of time, it may indicate an acute attack of gout and you should see a doctor as soon as possible. Note: These principles should not be violated. According to the 2016 China Gout Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines, gout patients should follow the following principles: Alcohol restriction. Reduce the intake of high-purine foods. Avoid strenuous exercise or sudden cold. Reduce your intake of fructose-rich beverages. Drink plenty of water (more than 2000 ml per day). Control your weight. Increase your intake of fresh vegetables. Maintain a regular diet and schedule. Exercise regularly. Smoking is not allowed. Hyperuricemia means that the blood uric acid level is higher than the normal value for a long time, but there is no gout attack. Generally, non-drug treatment measures are used to control the blood uric acid level, that is, adjusting diet, increasing exercise, and controlling weight. Long-term high uric acid levels will also increase the risk of diabetes, hypertension, kidney damage and cardiovascular disease, especially when the blood uric acid level is ≥540μmol/L. In order to prevent the above complications, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment and use uric acid-lowering drugs according to the doctor's advice. |
