What to do if you have altitude sickness when you go to Tibet

1. Before entering Tibet, drink brown sugar water 10 days in advance, or take Youyi and other medicines as prescribed by the doctor (not recommended); be sure to avoid catching a cold.

2. Take the train to Tibet and gradually adapt to the plateau on the train. After 2 days, your body has basically adjusted.

3. Do not bathe or wash your hair in the first few days after arriving in Tibet. If you have a mild reaction such as headache, you can take Gaoyuankang, Gaoyuan Shuning, Baifuning and other drugs to relieve it slightly. At the same time, pay attention to rest. Most people's symptoms will disappear in one or two days. If the reaction is strong, such as high fever and vomiting, you must see a doctor immediately. The medical conditions in Lhasa are very good, so it is best to stay in Lhasa for the first two or three days of your trip. Don't go to high altitude places as soon as you arrive in Tibet.
