Causes of no mature follicles

Causes of no mature follicles

Mature follicles are a type of follicle, and are also a type of follicle that is more conducive to female pregnancy. Many women will monitor their follicles during pregnancy preparation, because only follicles of good quality are conducive to conception. Of course, not all follicles are able to mature. So, what are the reasons for the absence of mature follicles? More on this below!

1. What is immature follicular development?

Usually, women will only release one mature egg every month. The follicle is considered a mature egg when it is 20mm to 25mm. Usually, a mature follicle will be released within 24 hours. If the follicle is underdeveloped, the mature egg cannot be released, leading to infertility!

Ultrasound can be used to detect follicular agenesis: the follicles are immature, smaller than 18mm, not round, and not ruptured!

2. What are the reasons for immature follicle development?

1. Premature ovarian failure: In the early stages of premature ovarian failure, menstruation is normal. Some patients will have a reproductive history → infrequent menstruation → amenorrhea. There are no primordial follicles in the ovaries, and even the use of ovulation-stimulating drugs will not cause the follicles to develop!

2. Polycystic ovary: It is the most common reason for female anovulation. The ovaries are enlarged and contain more than 10-12 small follicles, all of which are immature! Then you can monitor ovulation in the outpatient clinic and use ovulation-stimulating drugs, and then you can have a baby!

3. Pituitary factors: prolactinoma, hyperprolactinemia, and Sheehan syndrome can inhibit ovulation!

4. Hypothalamic anovulation

5. Others: Kidney deficiency, cold uterus!

3. What to do if the follicles are immature

1. Diet: low-fat diet! In normal times, you should try to avoid eating raw, cold, spicy, dry and greasy foods, and eat low-sugar and low-fat foods!

2. Lose weight: In addition to diet, you also need exercise!

3. Mood: Avoid negative emotions such as depression, anger and fear! Keep a happy mood and avoid stress! High stress affects endocrine disorders and can easily aggravate follicular underdevelopment. Exercise, go shopping, and relieve your stress!

4. Regular work and rest schedule: staying up late, heavy work, irregular diet and work and rest schedule will aggravate endocrine disorders!

5. Treatment: Use ovulation-inducing drugs. Commonly used western medicines are clomiphene and letrozole! Human chorionic gonadotropin can also be used!
