In fact, what we call blackouts is that alcohol damages people's memory, leading to a period of memory loss. Alcohol is an anesthetic. When drinking a certain amount, the temporal lobe in the brain responsible for memory will be paralyzed by alcohol, causing its function to become disordered and memory function to be lost, thus causing blackouts.

How to drink better

Limit your drinking: men should not consume more than 25 grams of alcohol per day, and women should not consume more than 15 grams per day.
