Lower abdominal pain and spotting in early pregnancy

Lower abdominal pain and spotting in early pregnancy

If you experience lower abdominal pain or spotting in the early stages of pregnancy, don't be anxious. If you are anxious, more serious consequences may occur. You should remain calm. Only in this way can you get proper relief from the pain in your lower abdomen and avoid serious situations. You should closely observe your physical condition.

Dull or dull pain is often caused by chronic inflammation or fluid accumulation in the abdominal cavity. The pain may be caused by blood or pus in the uterine cavity that cannot be discharged. Paroxysmal colic can be caused by contractions of intrauterine organs such as the uterus or fallopian tubes. Sharp, tearing pain may be caused by a ruptured ovarian tumor. Intractable pain may be caused by advanced cancer invading the nerves.

Lower abdominal pain time

Dull pain in the lower abdomen on one side during the menstrual cycle is mostly caused by ovulation. Lower abdominal pain and distension before, during, or after menstruation may be due to primary dysmenorrhea or endometriosis. Regular lower abdominal pain without menstruation is mostly caused by menstrual blood discharge, which can be seen in congenital reproductive tract malformations or postoperative adhesions of the uterine cavity and cervical canal.

Lower abdominal pain

Pain in the middle of the lower abdomen is mostly caused by uterine lesions and is less common. Lower abdominal pain on one side is mostly caused by lesions in the uterine adnex on that side, and lower abdominal pain on the right side can also be caused by appendicitis. Bilateral lower abdominal pain or even general abdominal pain may be caused by ruptured ovarian cysts, ruptured fallopian tube pregnancy, or pelvic peritonitis.

To self-diagnose lower abdominal pain, you need to understand whether you have a history of amenorrhea, vaginal bleeding, the location, nature, radiating pain of the abdominal pain, and a history of anemia. If you are unable to diagnose the condition yourself, you should go to the hospital in time for a diagnosis based on internal examination and detailed examinations such as B-ultrasound, pregnancy test, posterior fornix puncture, and lower abdominal X-ray. If necessary, laparoscopy or laparotomy should be performed.

Lower abdominal pain may also be related to uterine discomfort. It is recommended to do a detailed B-ultrasound examination, find a professional Chinese medicine practitioner to feel your pulse, and use Chinese medicine for treatment.

There are many types of acute lower abdominal pain with various manifestations, but they have one common characteristic, that is, they change greatly and progress rapidly. If delayed, it will bring serious consequences to the patient, so it must be taken seriously.

Acute inflammation causes lower abdominal pain: acute endometritis, acute salpingo-oophoritis, pelvic peritonitis, etc. Among them, acute salpingo-oophoritis is the most common, and in severe cases, abscesses may form. Acute pelvic infection often occurs after delivery and abortion.

Non-inflammatory lower abdominal pain: Common causes include ectopic pregnancy, ovarian tumor pedicle torsion and rupture, etc. Lower abdominal pain caused by ectopic pregnancy is usually severe. If the fallopian tube pregnancy ruptures, the amount of bleeding is large and the rate is fast. The blood quickly spreads to the entire abdominal cavity and causes pain in the whole abdomen, leading to anemia and shock in the patient. When the pedicle of an ovarian tumor twists, it can cause persistent colic. In addition, the contents of an ovarian cyst that ruptures can irritate the peritoneum and cause pain.
