What are the symptoms of functional hypothermia?

1. Yang deficiency with low fever

The patient has active fever but the body temperature is usually not high. The patient is hot but wants to wear more clothes. He is cold and afraid of coldness. His limbs are not warm. He may also have a pale face, dizziness, nausea, and soreness in the waist and knees. The tongue is mostly pale and fat or has teeth marks, the tongue coating is white and moist, and the pulse is mostly deep, thin and weak or floating, large and weak.

2. Low-grade fever due to liver and kidney yin deficiency

Most of the patients have fever in the afternoon and evening, accompanied by symptoms such as night sweats, insomnia, nausea, and red cheeks.

3. Low-grade fever due to deficiency of Qi and blood

Most people have fever in the afternoon, or feel hot in the face, hands and feet when they are a little distressed, accompanied by symptoms such as palpitations, pale complexion, chest tightness, shortness of breath and fatigue.

4. Low-grade fever due to Qi deficiency

Although there is a low fever, the patient feels cold, sweats, is afraid of the wind, and has symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigue, uneasiness, loose stools, and reduced nutritional balance.

Causes of a low-grade fever

A low-grade fever refers to a body temperature between 37.3℃ and 38℃. Long-term low-grade fever refers to a fever that lasts for more than 2 weeks, excluding intermittent fever. Cause analysis:

1. Various symptoms can cause a low-grade fever. Fever is a symptom. Rheumatism, tuberculosis, inflammation, and low immunity all lead to persistent low-grade fever.

2. Long-term mental unrest and emotional instability can also cause disorders in the body's temperature control center, resulting in persistent low-grade fever with unclear causes.

3. Problems with any system in the body may cause a persistent low-grade fever. What is the cause of a low-grade fever? It cannot be found out through physical examinations such as blood, urine, and stool. Some low-grade fevers caused by symptoms of pathogenic bacteria infection can only be discovered through bacterial culture.
