Do pubic lice grow on their own?

Do pubic lice grow on their own?

Important reminder: The main characteristic of pubic lice is that it will cause itching, rashes, and green bruises on the patient. It can be detected with the naked eye, but when necessary, the pubic lice nymphs or larvae can be found under a microscope or high-power magnifying glass. They are not easy to grow out by themselves and are infected.

Pubic lice, head lice, and hair lice are all types of fleas, which have an impact on human health. Pubic lice are a type of skin-contact parasite that live on the pubic hair and anal hair of the body and bite the surrounding skin, causing itching. So can pubic lice grow away on their own?

1. Pubic lice cannot grow away on their own, they are infected and are a contagious disease. The patient or his relatives have a history of unclean sexual behavior, or they got sick by staying in a hotel before the onset of the disease. The pathogen of this disease is an ectoparasite, the pubic lice. The body of this type of pubic lice is relatively small, shaped like a wild turtle, and it relies on its large claws to grasp the hair shaft, and then feeds on human blood. The pubic lice are grayish white before eating, and turn rusty after eating.

2 The normal human body temperature is particularly suitable for the growth of pubic lice. Under natural conditions, the average lifespan of female lice is generally 35 days. The larvae and nymphs of pubic lice make a living by sucking human blood, and can physically suck blood 4 to 5 times a day. Pubic lice generally do not leave the pubic area. Only during sexual intercourse will pubic lice leave the original host and infect a new host. Pubic lice, like other lice diseases, can spread infectious diseases such as relapsing fever and typhus.

3 The main sites of pubic lice are the pubic hair area and around the anus, and sometimes in the armpit and chest hair areas. The most important symptom is that the patient will experience severe itching, which will worsen at night. The patient's skin will have lesions, which are usually scars or scabs, or scattered dark blue bleeding spots. This is because when pubic lice are sucking blood, the saliva enters the blood and causes the hemoglobin concentration to change. It can exist for many months. There will also be dotted dark brown blood stains on the patient's underwear, which is caused by pubic lice sucking blood.

Pubic lice are infected, so they will not grow on their own. To prevent them, you need to avoid prostitution and don't engage in high-risk sexual intercourse. Once they occur, you need to remove the pubic hair in time to deprive the pubic lice of their living environment, and burn the pubic hair. You can also use it together with some medicines to speed up the recovery.
