1. What does menopause mean?

It refers to the depletion of eggs in the ovaries, or the lack of response to gonadotropin by the remaining eggs. The eggs can no longer grow and secrete estrogen, and cannot stimulate the growth of the uterine wall, causing menopause.

2. Artificial menopause

5. Osteoporosis

From around 40 years old, women's bones begin to decalcify, with a calcium loss of 1% every year. If calcium and zinc are not supplemented, osteoporosis may occur. Its adverse effects are shrinkage of the spine, shorter stature, kyphosis and difficulty in walking. In severe cases, it causes spinal compression fractures and is prone to fractures, which are more common in the distal radius of the upper limb and the femoral head of the lower limb.
