Do I need to be tested after getting the nine-valent vaccine?

Generally speaking, there is no need to test before getting the HPV 9 vaccine. Women do not need a gynecological examination before getting the HPV vaccine. The HPV vaccine is not recommended for women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. But if you don't know your physical condition, you can check it in advance. Three tests can be done: gynecological B-ultrasound, blood test and urine test.

Because as long as there are no allergic symptoms when injecting the nine-valent vaccine, in other words, as long as there is no allergy to the ingredients of the nine-valent vaccine, it can be injected. Another thing to note is that if you have acute symptoms, you need to wait until you recover before injecting. The nine-valent vaccine is approved for women aged 16 to 26. If the nine-valent vaccine is given to women within this age range, the effect will generally be better if it is given before sexual intercourse.

Women aged 9 to 26 who have no sexual history can receive the nine-valent vaccine and do not need to be examined before receiving the vaccine. However, if the patient has a history of sexual intercourse, relevant tests must be done before vaccination, such as TCT and HPV tests. If you have a high-risk HPV infection, such as HPV33 or HPV51 (), you cannot get the nine-valent vaccine, and you must undergo a hysteroscopy to clear cervical epithelial cell degeneration. If there is no disease progression, it is recommended to have another check-up after one year. If the result becomes negative, then you can get the nine-valent vaccine.

Suitable groups for HPV9 vaccine

The instructions for use of the nine-valent vaccine are for people aged 9-45 years. However, there is currently no clinical data on the effectiveness of the HPV 9-valent vaccine in older people over 26 years old. The reason why Hong Kong allows the vaccine to be used by older people is mainly based on the effectiveness of the quadrivalent vaccine in the older age group. The nine-valent vaccine and the quadrivalent vaccine have bridged immunity, so the scope of application is 9-45 years old.
