Things to note when going out after confinement

After finishing the 30-45 days of confinement, pregnant women are ready to go out to breathe fresh air or go out for fun. Because their bodies are just beginning to recover, they need to be more careful about travel. So, what are some common problems when going out right after confinement?

First of all, if pregnant women who have just finished their confinement go out, they should pay attention to keeping warm and avoid going to crowded places, especially during the seasons when fever, colds or influenza are prevalent, because the mother's body has just recovered after giving birth and is very susceptible to invasion by pathogens. You can bring an extra piece of clothing or wear a mask when going out.

Secondly, the time spent outdoors should not be too long. You should pay attention to rest, do not go to places that are too far away, and do not be too tired. On the one hand, this is because the body has just recovered, and on the other hand, the newborn baby is more dependent on the mother and needs the mother's care and attention, especially the breastfeeding mother.

Finally, when going out, you can choose some appropriate exercises, because exercises can help the mother's body recovery and physical and mental health to a certain extent; at the same time, the mother should remember to go to the hospital for a postpartum check-up after the confinement period, including a series of examinations of her pelvis and uterus to see whether her body has recovered fully, so that she can better welcome the life after giving birth. You should also pay attention to the nutritional balance after giving birth, especially during breastfeeding. The food you eat will have effects on the baby, so mothers should choose carefully.

How to do confinement most scientifically

After giving birth to a baby, the new mother with a weak constitution needs to supplement adequate nutrients. So what nutrients do you need to supplement after giving birth? How to actually do it?

1. Vitamin supplement

Because pregnant mothers need to breastfeed after giving birth, the intake of various vitamins in their diet must be increased. Foods rich in vitamin C include tomatoes, beans, cabbage, green beans, radish and so on.

2. High-calorie food diet is required

Pregnant women need 12540~16720 kilojoules of energy every day. Therefore, new mothers should eat more sugar-rich foods, such as noodles, rice, millet, corn, etc. They should also take beef, lean pork, mutton, chicken breast and other livestock products and high-energy nuts, such as walnut meat, peanut kernels, sesame seeds, pine seeds and so on.

3. You need a lot of protein

Protein is the material condition of life and contains a lot of carbohydrates. It is the basic substance for repairing tissues and organs, which is very necessary for new mothers themselves. Protein-rich foods include eggs, lean pork, chicken breast, beef, fish, beans, millet, and legumes.

4. Supplementing body fat is very important

Body fat is also important in the diet. You need 1 gram of fat per kilogram of body weight every day. If it is less than 1 gram, the fat rate in breast milk will decrease, affecting the metabolism of breast milk and thus affecting the growth of the newborn baby. There are many types of high-fat foods in the diet, which can be combined according to the taste of new mothers.

5. Need a lot of calcium

Milk secretion will cause the mother to consume about 300 mg of calcium every day. If the calcium supply in the diet is insufficient, the calcium stored in the mother's body will inevitably be used. In order to reduce the use of calcium in the mother's body, it is necessary to choose foods rich in calcium, such as dried shrimp skin, seaweed, milk, kelp, peanut butter, etc.

6. Supplement iron-containing foods

Iron is the main component of hemoglobin concentration in the blood, so it is important to get enough calcium after giving birth. Therefore, new mothers should add more copper-rich foods such as egg yolks, pig blood, animal liver, and beans to their diet.
