How to check luteal insufficiency

How to check luteal insufficiency

The examination of corpus luteum insufficiency is also a very important examination for women. However, when gynecological diseases are prevalent, the incidence of corpus luteum insufficiency also increases. So, how should we check for corpus luteum insufficiency? You can accurately measure your body temperature changes every day, record your body temperature in the morning, noon and evening. If you find that your basal body temperature is high, or shows a slow increase trend, this is a sign of corpus luteum insufficiency. Although this method is very simple, it is also the least accurate method.

You can also check for corpus luteum insufficiency by curettage. On the 26th day of the menstrual cycle, the uterine wall is taken for histological examination. If the uterine wall metabolism is poor or lags behind the endometrium of the curettage day by two days. This kind of situation is likely to be corpus luteum insufficiency.

It is also possible to test the progesterone concentration in women. Is the concentration of progesterone in women's blood above 10ng/ml in the middle and late stages of corpus luteum? If it is, it means that corpus luteum insufficiency is normal. Otherwise, it may be incomplete corpus luteum insufficiency.

What are the causes of corpus luteum insufficiency?

1. Overwork is a common mistake made by many women in their daily lives. To deal with pressure from work and daily life, they are inevitably busy and frowning, forgetting that they need to rest, but they don’t know that this action will affect the secretion of estrogen and cause luteal insufficiency.

2. In addition, endometriosis is also a cause of corpus luteum insufficiency, as well as pelvic inflammatory disease, polycystic ovary syndrome, etc. Patients with this disease have a significant increase in abdominal fluid, which affects the perfection of the egg and ultimately causes incomplete corpus luteum.

3. Hyperprolactinuria is also a major cause of luteal insufficiency in female friends, because this disease will inhibit the secretion of pituitary gonadotropin, and then directly act on the uterus and ovaries, causing egg development or lutein development.

4. After an abortion, women will suffer from damage to the uterine wall, softening of the endometrium, poor response to estrogen and progesterone, and affect the ovaries, ultimately leading to corpus luteum insufficiency.
