How long will it take for the fetus to give birth if there are uterine contractions on fetal heart monitoring?

The most important function of fetal heart rate monitoring is that it can detect the status of the fetus in the uterus. It can more vividly observe the fetal movement and the response of the fetal heartbeat when the uterus contracts, and thus determine whether the fetus is insufficient in oxygen. But does fetal heart rate monitoring showing uterine contractions mean that you will be pregnant?

Does fetal heart rate monitoring show uterine contraction?

Fetal heart rate monitoring is regulated by the central nervous system and sympathetic nervous system. The curve of the monitoring graph produced by recording the changes in the fetal heartbeat in an instant through data signals can be used to understand the response of the fetal heartbeat when the baby moves and the uterus contracts, so as to infer whether the fetus in the uterine cavity is short of oxygen.

According to the frequency of uterine contractions, they can be divided into: normal (observed for at least 30 minutes, average ≤ 5 times per 10 minutes) and strong (observed for at least 30 minutes, average > 5 times per 10 minutes). The uterine contraction curve expresses the intrauterine pressure, which increases during contractions and then maintains around 2b250mHg. Observation of the uterine contraction curve plays a very important role in distinguishing deceleration (referring to the slowing down of fetal heart rate when uterine contraction occurs). Fetal heart rate decelerations were divided into multiple (decelerations within 20 minutes with at least half of the uterine contractions) and interrupted decelerations within 20 minutes.

There are mainly two channels in fetal heart monitoring. The upper one is the fetal heart rate, which fluctuates between 120-160 under normal circumstances. The lower line expresses the intrauterine pressure, which can only increase when the uterus contracts, and then remains around 2b250mHg. If it is just irregular uterine contractions, if the uterine contractions are irregular, they are false contractions, and there is still a certain time range from real delivery. Moreover, irregular uterine contractions will occur in the late pregnancy, and they will become more and more obvious as time goes by.

Another situation means that mothers are really approaching their due date, and the fetal heart rate monitoring has already responded, which means they are about to give birth. At this time, mothers need to be fully prepared. If the uterus contracts, the pregnant woman may give birth within 24 hours.

How to judge the fetal heart rate monitoring chart

Fetal heart rate monitoring is a key prenatal examination item in the late pregnancy. When pregnant women do fetal heart rate monitoring, they can visually see the changes in the fetal heart rate from the fetal heart rate monitoring chart to ensure that the fetus is in good condition.

There are two curves on the fetal heart rate monitoring chart, one records the changes in the fetal heart rate, and the other records the uterine contraction status. Under normal circumstances, the fetal heart rate is maintained at 120~160 beats/minute. The fetal heart rate is faster when the fetus is moving than when it is resting (at least 15 beats per minute), and it lasts for at least 15 seconds. This normal situation is called "fetal heart rate monitoring response type", which is the result that every expectant mother hopes to obtain.
