Will the amount of vaginal discharge increase before menstruation?

Every woman will have some premenstrual signs before her period. Some will have chest pain, some will have lower abdominal pain, and some will have an increase in leucorrhea before menstruation. Will the leucorrhea before menstruation increase? Is it a normal condition or a physiological condition? In fact, I can accurately tell you that increased leucorrhea before menstruation is one of the normal symptoms before menstruation, and it is completely normal.

Why does vaginal discharge increase before menstruation?

Under physiological conditions, 2-3 days before and after the menstrual period, during ovulation, pregnancy and sexual intercourse, secretions usually increase, and leucorrhea will increase before menstruation. This is because the cervical opening gradually expands during the menstrual period, the columnar squamous epithelial cells in the cervical canal have more active metabolism, and the amount of mucus increases and is discharged together with female secretions. Before and after the menstrual period, due to pelvic congestion and the influence of estrogen, vaginal exudate and cervical secretion increase. These factors can cause more vaginal discharge.

Generally, the symptoms of premenstrual secretions will increase, and there will be more leucorrhea in the middle and late menstruation, which is thinner and transparent; after ovulation and before menstruation, the symptoms of leucorrhea are that the leucorrhea becomes thicker, turbid and less in quantity. During pregnancy and before menstruation, there is a certain increase in leucorrhea symptoms. This phenomenon will occur regularly with the menstrual period.

In addition to the increase in leucorrhea before menstruation, women will also experience increased estrogen secretion during pregnancy, causing the cervix to continuously produce some sticky secretions. While waiting for the baby to grow, the compressed pelvis and vagina will also cause a continuous increase in vaginal mucosal secretions. The secretions at this time will be in a state of long-term high volume and thickness. In the absence of infection, this is all normal and does not require treatment.

Active treatment of leucorrhea can eliminate the source of infection. Keep the vulva clean and dry, and avoid scratching. It is not suitable to take spicy food or stimulating food, but the actual effect is very good. Change underwear frequently and wash it with warm water. Do not wash it together with other clothes to avoid cross infection.
