What are the symptoms of intrauterine infection?

Pregnancy is the most important stage in a woman's life and also the most sensitive stage for women. Both the mental state and the body have to bear great pressure. Pregnant women need to pay special attention to their diet and daily routine during pregnancy, but there are still physical problems with pregnant women. Intrauterine infection is a more serious condition and needs to be taken seriously. So, what are the symptoms of intrauterine infection?

Pregnant women or pregnant women with intrauterine infection often have fever, axillary temperature higher than 37.5℃, rapid pulse, increased white blood cell count, and in severe cases, toxic shock may occur. The embryo, fetal membranes and amniotic fluid are meconium-stained and have a foul odor.

The risk of infection in pregnant women increases as the time since amniotic fluid ruptures increases. If the infection is transmitted to the fetus, the newborn baby may show symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing, cyanosis, constant drowsiness, sepsis, pneumonia, meningitis and otitis media after birth. If a newborn baby has no symptoms within a short period of time after birth, it does not necessarily mean that there is no intrauterine infection.

Intrauterine infection damage

Miscarriage, premature birth

If a pregnant woman is infected with viral hepatitis, it may immediately cause miscarriage, premature birth, etc. It may also cause asphyxiation in the newborn, and even make the fetus a carrier. Therefore, protective treatment must be taken in time, otherwise it will affect the development of the fetus and cause great harm.

Newborn baby short head, small hole

The prevalence of herpes simplex virus infection is low, which may cause short head and small holes in newborns, and may also cause myocarditis in the body and even neurological disorders. It can also cause great harm to pregnant women and their fetuses, so they need to go to the hospital for examination immediately.

Blindness, epilepsy

If the body is infected with macrophage virus, it will usually cause short head of the fetus or even blindness. It will also cause epilepsy, deafness, jaundice and other symptoms. More serious ones will develop hemolytic anemia, so everyone must be highly vigilant.
