Is it normal to have a decrease in fetal movement at 32 weeks of pregnancy?

Fetal movement is the most obvious way for expectant mothers to experience motherhood. Many expectant mothers often have this kind of mentality. As long as they can feel the baby's fetal movement, they will feel much more at ease. However, careful pregnant mothers will find that after 32 weeks, the baby's fetal movement has significantly decreased, and pregnant mothers will also worry about this. So, what is the reason for this?

Careful pregnant mothers will find that the fetal movements will become less and less in the late pregnancy. In the past, they were sometimes woken up by the baby's kicks, but now the baby basically makes no sound.

In fact, in the late pregnancy, after the fetal head enters the pelvis, the fetal movement will decrease, which is normal. At 32 weeks of pregnancy, fetal movements occur most frequently, and the frequency of fetal movements can reach over a thousand times a day. As the pregnancy progresses, as the fetus grows gradually, the space available for him to move in the uterus will become smaller and smaller, so his fetal movements will immediately decrease and not be as frequent as before.

However, if the fetus is deprived of oxygen in the uterus, the fetal movement will decrease and weaken, and pregnant mothers have to pay attention. Generally speaking, you will start to feel less fetal movement after 33 weeks of pregnancy, but when you go to the hospital for a physical examination, you must pay attention to the time of fetal movement, and the fixed time, morning, noon and evening, it must be fixed. If the baby moves at least three times in an hour between 8 and 9 in the morning, after 12 noon and 1 o'clock in the afternoon, and after 6 to 7 o'clock in the afternoon, there is nothing wrong. If it is two times or one time, count again for one hour immediately. If it is still insufficient, go to the nearest hospital to listen to the fetal heartbeat to see if there is any problem.

Generally speaking, it is normal for fetal movements to decrease in the late pregnancy. As long as pregnant mothers do a good job of daily monitoring and count the fetal movements, they can understand whether the fetus is healthy. In addition, pregnant women should undergo regular prenatal checkups, eat more light dishes, and most importantly, avoid having sex to avoid the possibility of premature birth.
