Raising the hips to correct the fetal position

Raising the hips to correct the fetal position

Many female friends go to the hospital for check-ups during pregnancy and find that their fetal position is relatively low, so some people think of raising their buttocks when sleeping at night, hoping that this method can achieve the effect of improving the fetal position. So do you know how to sleep with the fetus in a low position and the hips raised? Now let's take this doubt and follow me to look at the standard answer to the question.

How to sleep with the fetus in a low position and the hips raised

A low-lying placenta is caused by the delayed development of the sperm and egg before the embryo implants. When it reaches the uterus, it has not grown to the stage where the embryo can implant, but continues to slide down and embed itself under the uterus, where it develops, which means that the position of the placenta is lower than normal. Diseases of the uterine wall, such as multiple births, multiple curettages, cesarean sections and other factors can cause vascular incompleteness in the uterine wall. When the sperm and egg combine and embed, the blood supply is insufficient. In order to meet the needs of the fetus, the pregnant mother takes in enough nutrients, thereby expanding the area of the embryo. If the area of the embryo is too large, it may be delivered below the uterus and cause a low placenta.

Incomplete uterine wall, puerperal infection, multiple births, IUD insertion, multiple curettages, abortions and other surgeries may cause endometritis, endometritis rupture, insufficient blood supply, a large compensatory area of the embryo in order to absorb enough nutrients, and a feeling of being below the uterus are all reasons that may lead to a low placenta.

A low-lying placenta may cause painless vaginal bleeding, but it has nothing to do with sleeping position. The placenta is low in position, and as the pregnancy progresses and the uterus rises, the position of the embryo is likely to move upward. If after 28 weeks, the embryo is attached to the lower segment of the uterus, and the outer edge reaches or covers the internal os of the cervix, it is placenta previa.

Women with placenta previa are strictly prohibited from undergoing vaginal examinations, and sexual intercourse is also strictly prohibited, and will not be affected by sleeping positions. In the late pregnancy, the enlarged uterus is compressed by the inferior vena cava, which obstructs blood flow back and reduces blood pressure. Pregnant women may experience supine hypotension. Therefore, in the late pregnancy, pregnant women should try to sleep on their left side.
