What is the age of puberty for girls?

From a newborn baby to a woman who has experienced many vicissitudes of life, our women's lives can be divided into six stages. That is to say: infancy, childhood, adolescence, growth period, menopause and middle-aged and elderly years. Among these stages, puberty is the most unique and dramatic.

To put it simply, puberty is the period of adolescence. This is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood, in other words, a period of transition from imperfect sexual function to perfect sexual function.

Because the growth of the body is affected by many factors, the time when growth begins and ends varies. Because of this, at present, there is no unified age division for puberty around the world. The World Health Organization classifies the age range of 10-24 years old as puberty, while in my country, 13-18 years old is generally considered to be puberty.

Nowadays, in many countries in the world, scientists have found that the developmental age of children, especially girls, has a tendency to be gradually advanced (see Figure 1). Therefore, we believe that it is more in line with the current situation to include the age range of 10-24 years old in puberty.

As the saying goes, "Girls change a lot when they grow up." Girls will gradually undergo many significant changes during puberty, from the appearance of secondary sexual characteristics to the end of human growth and development. Therefore, many people further divide puberty into three stages.

Early adolescence, about 10-12 years old.

The middle and late adolescence (commonly known as puberty) is approximately 13-18 years old.

Mid to late adolescence, about 18-24 years old.

Puberty is a period of "earth-shaking" physical transformation, and a "stormy" period of psychological change.

Society, schools, parents, teachers, health care workers and the people around them should give adequate attention and care to adolescents, teach them appropriate gender knowledge and adolescent health knowledge, and help them successfully pass this period.

Puberty is also called the "early spring" of life because it is full of youthful vitality, charm and hope.

My young girls, when you hold up this book, please accept our sincere wishes first. We sincerely wish you a good time in life and a healthy growth.
