Is a 22-day menstrual cycle normal?

Is a 22-day menstrual cycle normal?

Menstruation is very important to women. It is a cyclical physiological phenomenon. However, since each woman's physical constitution is different, the length of the menstrual cycle will also vary. However, some people's menstrual cycle is very short, only 22 days. Women with such short menstrual cycles often worry about their physical condition. Menstruation is a barometer of women's physical health. Is a 22-day menstrual cycle normal?

A normal menstrual cycle lasts about 28 to 35 days. If it exceeds this range, it means that the menstruation is abnormal. A 22-day period is actually a bit short, but if your body does not show any abnormalities, then it is normal as long as it is 7 to 10 days earlier or later. If you are worried, you need to get checked immediately to avoid gynecological problems that are difficult to resolve.

But if the shorter cycle can still maintain a monthly regularity, then there is no need to worry, it may be that the body is a little tired or too stressed. You can consult a Chinese medicine doctor for treatment. Compared with Western medicine, Chinese herbal medicine is milder and more effective for this type of disease. If your period comes early occasionally and resumes the next month, it is not a big deal and is within the normal range.

Menstrual abnormalities are often caused by medications, inflammation in the reproductive parts of the body, etc. Lack of nutrition and problems with hormone regulation in the body can all lead to changes in the menstrual cycle. This is also a small sign for women to know if there is a problem with their body. If the menstruation is irregular, it is best to resume work and rest adjustments, or see a doctor as soon as possible and start regulating the body.

Causes of Short Menstrual Cycles

First, ovulation bleeding. The ovulation period is a part of the menstrual cycle. Some women who experience heavy bleeding during ovulation may also experience frequent menstruation, which will affect normal menstruation. This is also one of the reasons for a short menstrual cycle.

Second, ovarian dysfunction. The ovaries are important reproductive organs of women. If the ovarian function is impaired, such as premature ovarian failure, the female estrogen will decrease, resulting in less menstrual volume and shorter menstrual cycle.

Third, luteal insufficiency. The menstrual cycle includes a luteal phase. Luteal insufficiency is mainly due to the shortening of the relatively fixed luteal phase, which shortens the menstrual cycle.

Fourth, uterine fibroids. Some patients with uterine fibroids experience frequent menstruation, and their menstrual cycle becomes shorter due to frequent menstruation.

Fifth, dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding is a gynecological disease. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding refers to abnormal uterine bleeding, which may cause heavy or light menstrual flow, so it is one of the reasons for shortening the menstrual cycle.
