Why is the vagina wet and itchy?

Although the genitals are a very private part, their health has a great impact on people's lives. If not handled in time, it may cause great harm to the body. The most common problem of the genitals is itching and moisture, which brings people a strong sense of discomfort. Why does the vagina become wet and itchy? I hope everyone can understand this, especially women should pay more attention to regular cleaning of private parts.

1. Vaginal diseases: Candidal vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, senile vaginitis, gonococcal vaginitis, mycoplasma, chlamydia infection, etc. This disease can easily be transmitted between sexual partners. During treatment, the sexual partners must be treated at the same time to prevent cross infection and achieve a complete cure.

2. Bad hygiene habits: Not developing the habit of cleaning the vulva every day, or not changing and washing underwear frequently. If sanitary appliances are not dedicated, or if the same basin is used for bathing and washing feet, these can transmit bacteria and cause infection.

3. External stimulation: Sometimes birth control pills can also cause itching. Itching can also be caused by tight underwear, friction from underwear, and irritation from the menstrual period. Due to the lack of attention to the hygiene of the vulva, irritants from vaginal secretions, vulvar secretions, sweat, moisture, immersion, synthetic underwear, unqualified menstrual period belts, rough toilet paper, allergies caused by vulvar and vaginal medications, and frequent washing of the vulva with soap can all lead to vulvar itching.

4. Local vulvar lesions: common warts, herpes, eczema, condyloma acuminatum, vulvar squamous cell hyperplasia, lichen sclerosus, pubic lice, scabies, etc.

5. Systemic diseases: diabetes, jaundice, cholestasis and other pruritus of unknown causes. To check for itchy vulva, wash your hands first, then use the "tips" of your index and middle fingers to press the vulva from the "mons pubis" area, from top to bottom, until you reach the anus. When you touch the vulva normally, it should feel smooth and soft.
