How big is the error between vaginal ultrasound and color Doppler ultrasound in detecting follicles?

Nowadays, there are more and more infertile women. Most of them do not ovulate. If you want to get pregnant without ovulation, you usually need to monitor the follicles regularly. The more common way to detect follicles is through B-ultrasound. There are two main types of B-ultrasound: vaginal ultrasound and color ultrasound. Some women feel that there is a certain gap between the follicles monitored by these two methods. Most women do not particularly understand the specific gap. The following introduces the errors in follicle detection by vaginal ultrasound and color ultrasound.

1. Abdominal B-ultrasound requires you to hold your urine to fill your bladder. The ultrasound waves pass through the urine stored in the bladder and display a clear image of the uterus and its appendages on the screen. Abdominal ultrasound requires holding urine and having a full bladder. The examination results of vaginal ultrasound are relatively accurate, but it is recommended that you choose an examination that suits you according to your own situation.

2. Vaginal B-ultrasound is an examination that goes directly into the vagina. It is closer to the uterus and ovaries, and the results are more accurate. But this mainly depends on which one is suitable for you. Generally, if you are a virgin or during menstruation, or if you have irregular vaginal bleeding, it is not suitable to have a vaginal ultrasound because it can easily cause cross infection.

How to monitor ovulation with vaginal ultrasound

Although follicles can be detected through vaginal ultrasound and color ultrasound, which of these two methods is the most accurate? Next, we will analyze these two common detection methods.

Among all the methods of measuring ovulation, the most accurate one is currently the vaginal B-ultrasound monitoring method, which can not only measure whether there are dominant follicles in both ovaries, but also measure the size of the dominant follicles, the thickness of the endometrium, etc. However, this method is generally only used when the patient really needs it. "For example, some women with ectopic pregnancy have had their left fallopian tube removed. In this case, if her left ovary ovulates, she will not be able to get pregnant. Therefore, B-ultrasound can be used to observe which ovary ovulates."

Use B-ultrasound to monitor follicles, and it is best to find a fixed doctor to monitor them. When a doctor observes a dominant follicle from a certain angle, it will be better to monitor the development of the follicle from the same angle next time. "Different medical institutions and different doctors may make different judgments."

Both vaginal ultrasound and color ultrasound can detect follicles. Although there will be errors in the detection of the two, which one is more accurate? At present, B-ultrasound detection of eggs is still very accurate, and the correct detection of ovulation is a very important factor in female conception. You can go to the hospital for further consultation and take the most correct detection method.
