Which part should be moxibustioned for gynecological inflammation

Whether it is traditional Chinese medicine or Western medicine, it actually has the effect of alleviating and curing diseases. However, for many women, after suffering from gynecological diseases, they would prefer traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Although TCM is slow in treating gynecological inflammation, it can regulate the body and reduce other problems. Moxibustion can be used to treat gynecological inflammation. So, which acupoints generally need moxibustion?

Moxibustion, a method of moxibustion in traditional Chinese acupuncture therapy, is a treatment method that uses the heat generated by moxibustion materials made of mugwort to stimulate acupuncture points or specific parts of the body surface, and adjusts the disordered physiological and biochemical functions of the human body by stimulating the activity of meridian qi, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing and curing diseases.

Taboos of moxibustion

Since moxibustion is performed with fire, carelessness during the application may cause local skin burns. On the other hand, the process of moxibustion will consume some essence and blood, so some parts of the body or some people cannot be moxibustioned. These are the taboos of moxibustion. There are many taboos in ancient moxibustion. Although some taboos can be broken, there are some situations where they should indeed be avoided.

1. Do not directly apply moxibustion to exposed parts, such as the face, to prevent the formation of scars and affect the appearance.

2. Do not apply moxibustion on areas with thin skin, little muscle, and tendon aggregation, the lumbar sacral area and lower abdomen of pregnant women, and the nipples, genitals, and testicles of men and women. In addition, do not apply moxibustion directly to the joints. In addition, do not apply moxibustion to large blood vessels or the heart, and do not apply moxibustion to the eyeballs which are part of the facial area.

3. Avoid moxibustion if you are extremely tired, too hungry, too full, drunk, sweating profusely, emotionally unstable, or women during menstruation.

4. Avoid moxibustion during certain infectious diseases, high fever, coma, convulsions, or when the body is extremely exhausted and thin.

5. People who lack self-control, such as the mentally ill, should avoid moxibustion.

Precautions

1. Be focused and patient: Pay attention to concentrating your mind when applying moxibustion, and do not be distracted during the application, so as to avoid the moxa stick moving and not being on the acupuncture points, which will hurt the skin and flesh and waste time. For health-care moxibustion, you must persist in it for a long time. Occasional moxibustion will not achieve the desired effect.

2. Pay attention to the accuracy of body position and acupoints: On the one hand, the body position should be suitable for the needs of moxibustion, and on the other hand, it should be comfortable and natural. The correct parts and acupoints should be found according to the prescription to ensure the effect of moxibustion.

3. Fire prevention: Many clothes of modern people are made of chemical fiber, down and other materials, which are easy to burn. Therefore, you must pay attention to prevent fire when performing moxibustion, especially when using moxa cones for moxibustion, you must be more careful to prevent the moxa cones from rolling and falling off. After moxibustion with moxa sticks, you can put the lit end of the moxa stick into a bottle with a diameter slightly larger than the moxa stick to facilitate extinguishing.

4. Pay attention to keeping warm and preventing heatstroke: because part of the body surface will be exposed during moxibustion, you should keep warm in winter and prevent heatstroke in high temperatures in summer. At the same time, you should also pay attention to adjusting the indoor temperature and turn on the ventilation fan to get fresh air in time.
