The anesthetic injection during cesarean section made me cry

Everyone perceives pain differently, but women feel very painful during childbirth. Many women can only choose cesarean section because of abnormal fetal position. During cesarean section, the woman's belly and uterus need to be operated on, so anesthesia must be given to relieve pain. However, anesthetic injections are also quite painful. So why do women cry in pain after anesthetic injections during cesarean section?

Cesarean section is also called cesarean section. This method of delivery requires two cuts, one in the abdomen and one in the uterus.

Let’s take a look at the cesarean section process

Step 1: Skin preparation

This is a step that many women may find embarrassing, that is, shaving, but as the labor pains come, they no longer have the energy to think about these issues.

Step 2: Catheterization

After the operation, the mother cannot urinate on her own for a short period of time and needs to use a catheter. During the catheterization process, the mother will feel obvious pain.

Step 3: Anesthesia

When the anesthesia is administered, the mother needs to bend over with her back to the doctor. She doesn’t know what the needle looks like, but she can feel obvious pain because the needle is 10 cm long. Only in this way can the mother not feel pain during the operation.

Step 4: Surgery

After confirming that the anesthetic has taken effect, preparations for abdominal surgery begin

Then comes the second operation. After the doctor finds the baby's position, he will cut open the uterus and amniotic membrane and take the baby out. The speed of taking the baby out is also very fast, only about 5 minutes.

Step 5: Postoperative suture

Although only two cuts were made, seven layers of skin structure were cut, which needed to be sutured layer by layer.

Although the whole process seems simple, the mother not only has to endure the fear of the unknown psychologically, but also the pain physically, especially when the stitches are sutured. Although the anesthesia does not cause obvious pain, the tearing sensation during the stitches can be felt, which is the most frightening.

The postpartum recovery phase is the most difficult. You can’t get out of bed for the first two days. You have to hold your urine and pass gas. You may also be constipated. The severe pain caused by the tearing of the wound is simply torturous. All mothers who have experienced it definitely don’t want to go through it again!
