HPV33 positive cervical cancer risk

HPV33 positive cervical cancer risk

People undergo regular physical examinations for the sake of their health, because more and more people are now developing cancer. Cancer is an incurable disease and a symptom of the disease that people are worried about and afraid of. Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that often occurs in women. Women usually undergo corresponding examinations during physical examinations. For example, if you do an HPV test, what is the chance of cervical cancer being positive for HPV33?

HPV33 positivity only indicates the presence of HPV virus infection, and does not indicate cervical cancer. This viral infection may indeed cause cervical lesions, but it does not mean that you will develop cervical cancer as long as you are infected with this virus. The diagnosis of cervical cancer requires pathological tissue examination. Cervical cancer can only be diagnosed when a tissue biopsy is taken from the cervical epithelium and cancerous cells are confirmed.

HPV33 is a type of human papillomavirus, which is a high-risk type for cervical cancer infection and a sexually transmitted disease. Treatment requires both husband and wife to be treated at the same time. If only one party is treated, cross infection of HPV may occur during the treatment process.

The probability may not be too high, but there is no way to be completely sure. Generally speaking, the main cause of cervical cancer is HPV virus infection. There are many types of HPV viruses, among which subtypes 16 and 18 are the main causes of cervical cancer. There are other types as well but they are relatively rare.

A positive HPV33 result does not necessarily mean cervical cancer, but may be an inflammation of the cervix. Therefore, on the one hand, antiviral treatment and cervical inflammation treatment are needed. On the other hand, a cervical biopsy is needed, and a diagnosis can only be made through colposcopy and pathological examination.

After cervical cancer is confirmed, surgery is generally required to cure it, provided that the lesions have not metastasized to other places and the lesions are relatively localized. If it has metastasized widely, surgery is not possible and radiotherapy and chemotherapy can only be considered for control. If the cervical biopsy indicates no problems and the HPV virus is positive, antiviral treatment is required, and regular check-ups are required to prevent further cancer.
