Minimally invasive gynecological surgery

Minimally invasive gynecological surgery

The incidence of gynecological diseases in clinical practice is still relatively high, and many gynecological diseases require surgical treatment. At present, there are gynecological surgeries specifically for gynecological diseases in clinical practice. In addition to traditional surgeries, gynecological surgeries also include minimally invasive surgeries. Therefore, minimally invasive gynecological surgeries are widely used in clinical practice, and the effect of treating diseases is also ideal. So what is minimally invasive gynecological surgery?

1. In a narrow sense, minimally invasive gynecological technology refers to some new technologies and new surgical procedures that have been gradually and widely used in gynecological clinical practice with the help of the update and development of medical equipment in recent decades, including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and a series of technologies performed through the female vagina. In addition to the new technologies mentioned above, the broad definition of gynecological minimally invasive technology covers almost the entire process of all gynecological surgeries, from the grasp of surgical indications, the selection of surgical methods, a more delicate surgical process, less bleeding, to the thickness of the needle and thread used during the operation, whether it is permanently non-absorbable, etc., fully embodying the concept of "minimally invasive".

2. The biggest difference between minimally invasive gynecological surgery and conventional open surgery is the difference in surgical equipment and surgical approach. Doctors need to choose a reasonable surgical method based on the patient's different conditions. For example, for the same uterine fibroids, due to the different sizes, locations, numbers of uterine fibroids, and different patient ages, fertility, and quality of life requirements, doctors may recommend multiple surgical methods such as vaginal myomectomy, hysteroscopic myomectomy, laparoscopic or vaginal hysterectomy, and abdominal hysterectomy. Only by choosing a hospital with comprehensive minimally invasive surgical techniques can you have the right to have multiple options. Regardless of the surgical approach, the core and most basic requirement is to ensure patient safety, ensure a reasonable surgical scope, and completely remove the lesion.

3. Among them, hysteroscopy is the gold standard for modern diagnosis of intrauterine lesions. The morphology of the uterine cavity can be directly magnified and observed, and tissue pathology examination can also be performed under direct vision. Hysteroscopy can be performed when any of the following situations occur: abnormal vaginal bleeding, unexplained infertility, miscarriage, intrauterine foreign bodies, intrauterine adhesions, uterine malformations, abnormal intrauterine echoes on ultrasound examination, and intrauterine lesions that need to be detected and characterized.
