Is it inflammation when the breast B-ultrasound shows rough edges?

If a woman feels that there is a disease problem with her breast, she should go to the hospital for examination in time, so that the disease can be effectively diagnosed and timely treatment can be received. Among them, B-ultrasound can effectively check whether there is inflammation in the breast. When a woman's breast is inflamed, the B-ultrasound image presented is very different from that of a normal woman's breast. So if a woman's breast ultrasound shows rough edges, could it be caused by inflammation?

Mastitis

Acute mastitis is characterized by thickening of breast tissue in the inflamed area, with generally low internal echoes, uneven distribution, and unclear boundaries.

When an abscess is formed, the interior is an uneven anechoic area with thickened and less smooth borders. Once an abscess is found, incision and drainage should be considered. Otherwise, the longer the time, the greater the harm to the breast. CDFI (color Doppler blood flow imaging) shows that the mass has rich blood flow signals.

Proliferative breast disease

The breast glands or stroma are diffusely enlarged and thickened with blurred boundaries. Sometimes typical "zebra"-shaped and tubular dark strip echoes may appear; some inconspicuous nodular echoes are also often found.

Breast cysts

Usually single, with clear borders, smooth and neat, round or oval, with echoes inside the capsule, strong echoes or liquid dark areas with good uniform sound transmission

Breast fibroadenoma

The mass is round or oval in shape, with clear and smooth edges, a thin and smooth capsule, and a weak echo area with uniform echo inside. The echo is enhanced at the back and is sometimes accompanied by calcification spots. A few have dark areas of liquefaction necrosis. CDFI blood flow signal is less

Breast malignancy

1. Morphology: Irregular shape, irregular borders, no capsule, and the mass infiltrates into the surrounding tissues in a crab-like, serrated, or lobular manner. Unclear boundaries

2. Internal echo: mostly uneven, with low echo when cancer cells are the main component, and strong echo when fiber components are the main component. If hemorrhage and necrosis occur, it will appear as an irregular echo-free area

3. Calcification: mainly manifested as fine sand-like dots, distributed in clusters, and with a large number

4. CDFI: increased blood flow in the tumor
