Breast Cancer 4a

Breast Cancer 4a

Breast cancer is a disease with an increasing incidence nowadays. This disease will directly affect women's breast health and overall health. In serious cases, such as if the cancer spreads, it may even affect the patient's life safety. Breast cancer is classified into different categories depending on the severity of the disease. Different types of breast cancer have different probabilities of being malignant. So, what does 4A for breast cancer mean?

1. Breast Cancer 4a

The American College of Radiology has a classification based on imaging density, usually BI-RADS. If it is level four, it means that the mass is seen as a substantial mass with high density under the imaging system. The four levels are further divided into 4A, 4B and 4C. If it is 4C, the probability of a malignant tumor is almost over 90%; if it is 4A, the probability of a malignant tumor is about 50%.

2. Breast cancer screening

In the breast clinic, the doctor will first perform a physical examination and examine both breasts after learning about the medical history; imaging examinations will also be combined, including breast X-ray (breast mammography), color ultrasound, and, if necessary, breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Mammography is the main method of breast cancer screening recommended internationally in recent years. It can detect breast cancer that cannot be felt during clinical examination. It is usually used for women over 40 years old. The breasts of women in this age group are not sensitive to radiation, the radiation damage they suffer is limited, and the breast density is relatively low, so abnormal signs can be easily detected on mammary X-rays. Breast color ultrasound does no harm to the human body and is ideal for young women and those with dense breasts. Magnetic resonance imaging (MBI) examination can detect small multifocal and multicentric lesions and can be regarded as an imaging examination method for early diagnosis. The final diagnosis will be based on cytopathology (in hospitals with the necessary conditions) and histopathology. A biopsy will be performed based on abnormalities found during clinical examinations. Either a puncture or surgical procedure can be used. Once cancer cells are found, treatment will be taken immediately. If the patient has nipple discharge, some examination methods for nipple discharge can also be carried out, such as ductoscopy, mammary duct angiography, and discharge cytology smear.

3. Breast Cancer Prevention

1. Establish a good lifestyle, adjust your life rhythm, and keep a good mood.

2. Adhere to physical exercise, actively participate in social activities, avoid and reduce mental and psychological stress factors, and maintain a calm mind.

3. Develop good eating habits. Pay attention to balanced nutrition during infancy and promote breastfeeding; reduce excessive intake of high-protein and low-fiber foods during childhood development; do not consume large amounts of fat and animal protein during adolescence, and strengthen physical exercise; control total calorie intake after menopause to avoid obesity. Develop the habit of not consuming excessive meat, fried eggs, butter, cheese, sweets, etc., eat less pickled, smoked, fried and grilled foods, and increase the intake of fresh vegetables, fruits, vitamins, carotene, olive oil, fish, bean products, etc.

4. Actively treat breast diseases.

5. Do not use exogenous estrogen indiscriminately.

6. Do not drink excessively for a long time.

7. Carry out drug prevention among people at high risk of breast cancer. The National Cancer Center of the United States is responsible for conducting exploratory studies on the prevention of breast cancer with drugs such as tamoxifen and raloxifene.
