What are the dangers of smoking for girls? It may cause premature aging!

Smoking is not gender-specific, and now more and more women also love to smoke. Smoking is very harmful to the human body, especially to girls. As for the harm of smoking for girls, in addition to premature aging and skin conditions, smoking may also cause infertility.

1. Lead to premature aging

Nicotine in cigarettes can stimulate spasm and contraction of microvessels, resulting in insufficient blood and oxygen supply to the skin, affecting normal metabolism and accelerating aging. The skin of women who smoke tends to be drier, rougher, less elastic, more wrinkled, duller in color, and more haggard, which often makes them look much older than their actual age. The skin of women who smoke appears older, has more wrinkles and a grayer color than that of women who do not smoke. Especially the wrinkles on the upper and lower lips and corners of the eyes and mouth increase significantly.

2. Menstrual disorders and dysmenorrhea

Nicotine in tobacco can reduce the secretion of female sex hormones, thereby interfering with physiological processes related to menstruation, delaying menarche, menstrual disorders, early onset of menopausal syndrome, amenorrhea or scanty menstruation, and in severe cases even affecting conception. In addition, compared with non-smokers, women who smoke 10 to 30 cigarettes a day have twice the risk of dysmenorrhea. Women with a smoking history of 10 to 20 years have almost three times the risk of dysmenorrhea as non-smokers. Smoking can cause blood vessels to constrict, reduce blood flow to the endometrium, and cause dysmenorrhea cramps.

3. The rate of malformation in babies born is significantly increased

The rate of malformations in babies born to smoking women is 2-3 times that of non-smoking women, including 73% suffering from congenital heart disease, and the risk of leukemia is twice as high. In addition, the incidence of anencephaly and dementia has also increased significantly. Among the children born to smoking women, the rate of mental retardation and mental illness is also more significant.

4. May cause miscarriage

Pregnant women who smoke more than 10 grams of cigarettes a day have a miscarriage rate more than twice that of non-smoking pregnant women; the incidence of premature birth in smoking women is twice that of non-smoking women. The more a pregnant woman smokes, the more likely her children will be arrested for violent crimes in the future, according to new research.

5. Reduce milk secretion

Smoking can reduce milk secretion, and nicotine can also enter the breast milk through the blood. Women who smoke 10-20 cigarettes a day can separate 0.4-0.5 mg of nicotine into 1 kg of breast milk. This is a serious threat to the baby's health.
