Vaginal itching and excessive vaginal discharge

Vaginal itching and excessive vaginal discharge

If the vaginal opening is itchy and there is an increase in leucorrhea, women must pay special attention to this situation, because it may mean that women have vaginitis problems. The impact of vaginitis on women's reproductive system health cannot be underestimated. There are many causes of vaginitis, so there are also many ways to treat it. Here are some common causes of vaginitis!

1. Fungal vaginitis

If a female friend has itchy vaginal opening and has bean curd-like leucorrhea with an odor, and may develop dermatitis or eczema after scratching, it may be fungal vaginitis, and she should go to the hospital for further examination.

Vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) is a common and frequent vulvovaginal inflammatory disease caused by Candida albicans. Candida albicans is a conditionally pathogenic bacterium. 10% to 20% of non-pregnant women and 30% of pregnant women have this fungus parasitic in their vagina, but the amount of bacteria is small and does not cause symptoms. Vaginitis symptoms will only occur when the systemic and local vaginal immunity decreases, especially the local cellular immunity decreases, and Candida albicans multiplies in large numbers.

2. Vaginal Trichomonas infection

If a female friend experiences vaginal itching accompanied by foamy leucorrhea and often a special odor, scratching may cause dermatitis and eczema in the genitals, just like fungal vaginitis. At this time, you should go to the hospital for a vaginal secretion smear test to distinguish it from the above symptoms.

3. Drug allergy

Some female friends with sensitive constitutions may also experience itching in the vaginal opening after taking certain medications. In severe cases, erosion and exudation may occur. This is an allergic reaction to drug rash and you should seek medical help immediately.

4. Local unclean skin

There is another situation related to personal hygiene habits. Some female friends experience itching at the vaginal opening due to improper use of sanitary napkins, infection and irritation caused by urine and other secretions, which leads to chronic inflammation of the vaginal opening and causes itching.
