What medicine to take for gynecological pelvic inflammation

Pelvic inflammatory disease refers to inflammation of the female reproductive organs, connective tissue around the uterus, and retroperitoneum of the pelvis. Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is usually caused by incomplete treatment of acute symptoms. It lasts for a long time and is difficult to cure. The bacteria travel in reverse and reach the pelvis through the uterus and fallopian tubes. Let’s take a look at what Chinese medicine can be taken for gynecological pelvic inflammation.

1. Medication treatment in hospital outpatient clinics

If the patient is in good general condition, has mild symptoms, can tolerate oral antibiotics, and has follow-up conditions, he or she can be given oral or intramuscular antibiotics in the hospital outpatient clinic. Common plans:

Blood pressure: Ceftriaxone sodium 250mg, one intramuscular injection, or ceftriaxone sodium 2g, one intramuscular injection, and probenecid 1g orally, then change to doxycycline hydrochloride 100mg, twice a day, and use it for 14 days, and ornidazole 400mg orally, twice a day, and use it for 14 days; or use other third-generation cephalosporins in combination with doxycycline hydrochloride and ornidazole.

Blood: Take levofloxacin 400 mg orally, 2 times a day, or levofloxacin 500 mg orally, once a day, and take ornidazole 400 mg, 2-3 times a day, for 14 days; or moxifloxacin 400 mg, once a day, for 14 days.

2. Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment

According to traditional Chinese medicine, pelvic inflammatory disease is caused by insufficient energy, careless health care, dirty vagina or excessive fatigue. Traditional Chinese medicine has some tricks for treating pelvic inflammatory disease. Let’s take a look.

1. 30 grams of honeysuckle tea, 15 grams of Poria cocos, 10 grams of peony bark, 6 grams of Tongcao, 5 grams of Coptis chinensis, and 15 grams of white cockscomb. Decoction in water, one dose per day, suitable for acute pelvic inflammatory disease.

2. 30 grams each of Patrinia salsa and Houttuynia cordata root, 15 grams each of safflower and white peony root, 10 grams of Toosendan fruit, and 10 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis. Decoction 300 ml, cool to around 38℃ and keep for enema. You need to defecate before treatment, and sleep on your side for 15 minutes after the injection. This should be done once a day, and 10 times constitute a treatment course.

3. 30 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 90 grams each of Phellodendron chinense and Bupleurum chinense, and 60 grams of Coptis chinensis. Grind them into powder, mix with honey or boil in water, apply hot on the lower abdomen, twice a day. Applicable to the inflammatory and infiltrative stage of acute pelvic inflammatory disease.

4. 20 grams of Salvia miltiorrhiza, 15 grams each of white peony root and Corydalis yanhusuo, 10 grams of Nardostachys grandiflora, 30 grams each of Prunella vulgaris, Coix seed and Patrinia salviae japonica.
