Is hemoglobin 83 anemia serious in pregnant women?

Is hemoglobin 83 anemia serious in pregnant women?

Women pay more attention to their physical condition during pregnancy and will take various measures to check their bodies. Many pregnant women will suffer from anemia, which will have some adverse effects on both pregnant women and fetuses, so people need to pay special attention to it. There are different types of anemia. Some pregnant women have a hemoglobin level of 83. Is anemia serious if the hemoglobin level is 83?

If the hemoglobin level of a pregnant woman is less than 110 grams per liter, it is anemia; if it is less than or equal to 60 grams per liter, it is severe anemia; and a hemoglobin value of 83 is within the range of mild anemia. Anemia can affect both the pregnant woman and the fetus, so it should be taken seriously. Iron deficiency anemia is the most common type of anemia during pregnancy. It is recommended to treat the disease based on the cause according to the test results.

Anemia in pregnant women has its unique characteristics. Most pregnant women have undergone physical examinations before pregnancy and were not found to be anemic. Their condition is normal. If they develop anemia after pregnancy, it is often due to insufficient nutrition. Most of them have nutritional anemia, especially iron deficiency anemia. Therefore, if it is diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia, in addition to giving iron supplements, we also need to give some dietary guidance.

If a pregnant woman suffers from anemia during pregnancy, she should first adjust her diet and eat more iron-rich foods. For example, blood products, fungus, black sesame, peanuts, raisins, pork liver, purple eggplant, spinach, red beans and other foods. If the condition is serious, medication is necessary, such as oral ferrous sulfate, iron dextran, Hongyuanda, etc. At the same time, vitamin C is taken to promote the absorption of iron. In addition, regular check-ups and blood tests are required to see how the patient is recovering. Patients with severe anemia should consider the need for blood transfusions before giving birth.

For example, some of the meats I just mentioned, as well as some vegetables, cucumbers, and mushrooms, can be supplemented with foods that are relatively high in iron. Of course, iron supplements should also be given medically, which will be better. At the same time, we should not ignore the fact that when the examination shows that it is lacking in folic acid and B12, we should eat more vitamins accordingly. Diets high in vitamins will be better. Of course, there is some anemia, which is a special situation that occurs after pregnancy, whether it is hemolytic anemia or something else, so we must first find the cause of anemia for the pregnant woman or during pregnancy. It is very important to treat this cause. Dietary treatment is auxiliary. Finding the cause and treating the cause is what we should pay attention to.
