Why do false labors occur?

Pregnant women who have had pregnancy experience should not be unfamiliar with uterine contractions, because one of the most important physiological manifestations of women during pregnancy is uterine contractions. Although uterine contractions can cause great pain to women's bodies, they are also an important manifestation of promoting the expansion of women's birth canal. However, pregnant women must distinguish between true labor contractions and false labor contractions. The following article explains the knowledge about false labor contractions to pregnant women.

Clinically, false labor is characterized by irregularity, sometimes strong and sometimes weak. Before delivery, the lower end of the uterus will be stimulated and pulled by the head, causing labor pains, but the frequency of false labor will also increase. As the weeks of pregnancy increase, after 36 to 38 weeks of pregnancy, the uterine muscle tissue becomes insensitive and the degree of uterine contraction will decrease. Once this stage is passed, the uterus will complete a series of physiological changes to prepare for delivery.

False labor also has corresponding clinical symptoms. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, because the uterine muscles are more sensitive, irregular uterine contractions will occur, which are of shorter duration and weaker force, and occur in the lower part of the uterus. It will stop after a few hours, but the cervix will not open, which is called false labor. Generally speaking, the frequency of false labor increases after 28 weeks of pregnancy. What usually happens is that when a pregnant woman sits or stands for a long time, she will feel a hardening sensation in her abdomen, which is called false labor. Pregnant women should correctly distinguish between false labor and true labor. Don't be anxious when false labor occurs. Consult a professional gynecologist to solve the problem. If the severity increases, hospitalization for observation is required.

False labor should be distinguished from real labor. Once false labor occurs, it is best to seek medical diagnosis, because after all, you do not have sufficient clinical experience, and once a problem occurs, it will affect the child's growth. In order to better understand false labor, you can consult and examine relevant experts so as to achieve the treatment goal.
