Is it easier to give birth if the fetal head is very low?

The final stage of pregnancy, which is the time of delivery, is the most critical period for pregnant women. Because before giving birth, every pregnant woman needs to do certain physical examinations to check the fetal position. If the fetal position is correct, the delivery can go smoothly. However, if the fetal head is not straight, a caesarean section will be required. Therefore, whether a natural birth is possible depends on whether the fetal position is normal. But the fetal head is very low, will it be easier to give birth?

1. What does low head position mean?

Cephalic presentation refers to a downward facing position of the fetal head in late pregnancy. Prepare for a normal birth. The head position of the fetus is a normal fetal position, which is more conducive to normal delivery. The low head position means that the head position of the fetus is lower than the normal head position. Abnormal fetal positions often include breech presentation and transverse presentation, and the fetal head is not kept downward, which is not conducive to normal delivery.

2. What should you pay attention to in late pregnancy?

1. Have prenatal checkups on time

Starting from the 28th week of pregnancy, the frequency of prenatal checkups changes from once a month to once every two weeks. After the 36th week of pregnancy, prenatal checkups are required every week until the baby is born. Therefore, even if it is inconvenient to travel in the late pregnancy, you should still insist on prenatal checkups. It is recommended that someone accompany you during each prenatal checkup.

2. Eat a balanced diet

The ideal weight gain during pregnancy should be controlled at around 20-25 catties. If the diet is irregular and unbalanced, it is easy to cause weight gain too fast and cause trouble for delivery. In addition, if you often eat fried or other irritating foods in the late pregnancy, constipation may easily occur, which is not conducive to the development of the fetus.

3. Keep moving

If you don't have any physical discomfort, you can do some exercise. Exercises suitable for pregnancy should be gentle and not intense, such as walking, swimming, prenatal yoga, etc. Doing housework is also a kind of exercise! Appropriate exercise can relieve emotions and also help with future childbirth. It is important to take a rest when you feel tired.

4. Pay attention to hygiene

You sweat a lot during pregnancy, so you should pay special attention to personal hygiene, take a bath regularly, and change your underwear frequently. The bathing time should not be too long and the water temperature should not be too high.

5. Pay attention to skin care

The abdominal skin is stretched in the late pregnancy, and stretch marks are likely to appear if not properly cared for. It is recommended that pregnant mothers start skin care before stretch marks appear.

6. Pay attention to breast care

After pregnancy, the breasts will become larger accordingly, which is in preparation for postpartum breastfeeding, so pregnant mothers must learn to take care of their breasts, especially in the late pregnancy! First of all, you must learn to adjust your underwear and try to choose maternity underwear to prevent sagging and make yourself more comfortable. If you have breast pain, you can relieve it by applying heat or massaging it appropriately.

In addition, you should strengthen the care of your nipples during pregnancy to prevent postpartum nipple cracking from affecting breastfeeding.

7. Relieve back pressure

Most pregnant women will experience back pain in the late stages of pregnancy. In addition to paying attention to the correct sitting posture and using cushions to relieve pressure, you can also use a belly support belt to reduce abdominal pressure and make walking safer and more comfortable.

8. Pay attention to your sleeping posture

As the fetus grows, the pregnant mother's sleep will also be affected. In order to make pregnant mothers sleep more comfortably and allow the fetus to get more oxygen, it is recommended to lie on the left side, with the help of a pregnancy pillow.
