Urine concentration affects ovulation test strips

Urine concentration affects ovulation test strips

The method of using ovulation test strips is actually somewhat similar to that of early pregnancy test strips. Both require women to test their urine with test strips in the morning or other time periods. If a woman's urine contains an egg, the ovulation test paper will change color. Therefore, some relevant data of urine at this time will also affect the accuracy of ovulation test paper detection. So if it is the concentration of urine, will it affect the accuracy of ovulation test paper results?

How to use ovulation test strips? The specific steps can be divided into three steps:

Step 1: Be sure to use a dry and clean cup to collect an appropriate amount of urine. Try not to use morning urine, but urine between 10 am and 8 pm. It is best to choose the same time for testing every day for the best comparison. Do not drink water two hours before using the ovulation test strip, because drinking water will dilute the urine and affect the concentration of HG and affect the test results.

Step 2: How to use the ovulation test paper? After preparing the urine, pay attention to the arrow on the ovulation test paper. Soak the ovulation test paper in the prepared urine according to the arrow. Take it out after soaking for three seconds and square it. Observe the effect of the ovulation test paper after ten minutes. The effect will be invalid after thirty minutes.

Step 3: Note that there is a MAX line on the ovulation test paper. Do not let the urine exceed this line.

How to use ovulation test strips? You not only need to know how to use them, but also how to read the test results. Generally, there are three phenomena that appear during inspection:

The first phenomenon: There will be two red lines when checked, and the lower one is lighter than the upper one [the lower red line is the test line, and the upper red line is the control line]. At this time, it means that the LH content in the urine has reached its peak, so you should start checking every four hours;

The second phenomenon: There will be two red lines in the test, and the color of the test line and the control line is not much different, or the test line is darker than the control line. This phenomenon indicates that it is the ovulation period within one day or two days.

The third phenomenon: After examination, only the control line shows red, and there is no red line on the test line. The test result at this time indicates that ovulation did not occur.

After understanding how to use ovulation test strips correctly, many female friends will begin to have such a question: Are the results of ovulation test strips accurate? Surveys and studies have shown that ovulation test strips can now predict ovulation time by checking the level of progesterone in female urine, and its accuracy rate has reached 99%.

Of course, if you know how to use the ovulation test strips and have used them correctly, and can also use the ovulation test strips to preliminarily predict the ovulation time, and find out through subsequent examinations that you may be pregnant, you must go to the hospital for a pregnancy test in time to ensure that you are pregnant. Experts warn that using ovulation test strips for contraception is not the safest method, and it is recommended to use safer measures such as condoms for contraception.
