Can I do a pregnancy test during my period?

Many female friends feel that they cannot do a pre-pregnancy check during their menstruation. In fact, there is no such rule. You can still do a pre-pregnancy check even if you have your menstruation. The two are not in conflict at all. However, female friends must undergo a chromosome test during the pre-pregnancy check. This is very critical so that the results can be more accurate.

(1) Electrocardiographic and imaging examinations: electrocardiogram, B-ultrasound (liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, bladder, and prostate).

(2) Special examination: chromosome (if necessary, follow the doctor's advice).

(3) If you feel that there may be a problem with testicular development, you must first ask your parents whether you had mumps as a child, whether you have had undescended testicles, testicular trauma and surgery, testicular pain and swelling, hydrocele, oblique hernia, urethral pus, etc. Provide this information to your doctor and consult carefully.

Pre-pregnancy check-up precautions

(1) Do not drink alcohol the day before the physical examination. Limit the intake of high-fat and high-protein foods, and avoid using preparations and particles that may affect liver and kidney function.

(2) Eat a light diet 3 to 5 days before the examination. It is best not to eat bloody foods such as pig liver and pig blood. And you should completely fast after 12 o'clock at night the day before the examination.

(3) You need to fast when having blood drawn and liver and gallbladder ultrasound examinations. When doing B-ultrasound of the bladder, prostate, uterus, and appendages, avoid urinating. If you cannot urinate, drink water until your bladder is full.

(4) During X-ray examination, it is recommended that you wear cotton underwear and avoid clothes or bras with metal buttons. Please remove necklaces, cell phones, pens, keys and other metal objects. Pregnant women or women who may be pregnant should inform the health checkup service personnel first and be cautious when undergoing X-ray examinations.

(5) Women must avoid their menstrual period when doing pre-pregnancy check-ups.

If there are obvious genetic disease patients in the family, people will pay attention to related examinations when giving birth and consciously consult a doctor. However, some parents, like normal people, are carriers of certain genetic disease genes. Although they themselves do not suffer from the disease, they are very likely to pass this genetic disease on to the next generation. For example, a child with albinism may have normal parents, but the child has fair skin and yellowish hair.
