Milk duct bleeding in late pregnancy

Milk duct bleeding in late pregnancy

When a pregnant woman is pregnant, her body may develop some diseases due to the influence of hormones and other factors. When a pregnant woman feels unwell, she should not take medicine on her own, otherwise it will have a great impact on the fetus. A pregnant woman's breasts will grow larger during pregnancy because they need to provide milk for the baby. The structure of a woman's breasts is very complex, and if they are not properly protected, they will cause the pregnant woman to become sick. So what is the cause of milk duct hemorrhage in the middle and late stages of pregnancy?

This condition is bloody nipple discharge, common causes:

1. Benign intraductal papilloma: Intraductal papilloma is more common in multiparous women, mostly between 40 and 50 years old. 75% of cases occur in the ampulla of the large milk duct near the nipple. The tumor is very small, pedunculated and villous, and has many thin-walled blood vessels, so it is easy to bleed. Papillomas that arise in small and medium-sized milk ducts are often located in the peripheral area of the breast.

2. Breast cancer: The female breast is composed of skin, fibrous tissue, mammary glands and fat. Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the mammary gland epithelial tissue. 99% of breast cancers occur in women and only 1% in men. The breast is not an important organ for maintaining human life activities, and in situ breast cancer is not fatal; but because breast cancer cells have lost the characteristics of normal cells, the connections between cells are loose and easy to fall off. Once cancer cells break off, the free cancer cells can spread throughout the body through the blood or lymph, causing metastasis and endangering life. Currently, breast cancer has become a common tumor that threatens women's physical and mental health.

3. Fibrocystic breast disease: Fibrocystic breast disease refers to the benign proliferation of one or more mammary ducts, mammary lobules, alveolar epithelium, and fibrous tissue. The main clinical features are periodically aggravated breast pain and multiple breast lumps. According to domestic reports, the incidence rate is around 10%, and it mostly occurs in women aged 30 to 50, but it also occurs in men. The cause of this disease has not been clearly identified so far, but it is mainly believed to be related to endocrine dysfunction in the human body, especially ovarian dysfunction in women.
