Does a retroverted uterus affect pregnancy?

The uterus is the most important organ for women. It also has a great impact on women's physical health. Therefore, the uterus is the part that women pay the most attention to. The state of the uterus has a great impact on women's ability to become pregnant. Among them, retroverted uterus is a relatively common abnormal condition. Let's take a look at whether retroverted uterus has any impact on pregnancy? I hope women can understand this.

Methods of conceiving with a retroverted uterus

It is generally difficult to conceive with a retroverted uterus. Women can place a small pillow under their buttocks during intercourse to increase the chances of conception.

Retroverted uterus

In fact, a vivid metaphor for the uterus is that it is like a pocket, and the opening of the pocket is the vulva. The posterior uterus is similar to a pocket starting from the middle and bending backwards. The severity of retroverted uterus varies from person to person. In severe retroverted uterus, the uterus will fall into the rectouterine pouch.

Symptoms of retroverted uterus

First of all, mild to moderate retroverted uterus has no adverse symptoms and does not require treatment.

Secondly, when severe retroverted uterus occurs, it will have obvious effects on the female body, such as low back pain, backache, lower abdominal soreness, and a feeling of heaviness in the anus.

Moreover, these discomforts will become more severe with fatigue and the arrival of menstruation.

If severe retroverted uterus is not treated and corrected in time, it may cause irregular menstruation, excessive leucorrhea, miscarriage, infertility, etc.

Causes of retroverted uterus

At present, there are about 4 reasons for the retroverted uterus:

1. Congenital uterine hypoplasia and relaxation of uterine ligaments cause the bottom of the uterus to tilt to the sides or backwards.

2. Late inflammation, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, causes tissue adhesion between the uterus and rectum, and the fundus of the uterus is pulled and tilted backwards.

3. Caused by miscarriage. If you have had multiple miscarriages or do not take good care of yourself after the miscarriage, pelvic infection will occur and the uterus may easily tilt retroverted.

4. It is caused by sleeping posture. There is also a saying that if women sleep in a supine position for a long time, it will also cause a retroverted uterus.
