Does gynecological disease affect the fetus during pregnancy?

Gynecological diseases are a condition that many women will have, and there are many types of gynecological diseases. The effects on women's bodies vary depending on the symptoms. Pregnancy is a very important thing for a woman and it takes ten months for a woman to give birth to a fetus. Some diseases in daily life may have an impact on the fetus in the pregnant woman's body. So does gynecological disease have an impact on the fetus during pregnancy? Let's introduce it below.

Gynecological diseases will have a certain impact on the fetus during pregnancy, and the following diseases are the most likely to have a greater impact on the fetus.

1. Vaginitis

There are several types of vaginitis, the most common ones are Trichomonas, fungal and bacterial. The cause of the disease is infection with Trichomonas, fungi and bacteria. The most obvious symptoms are itching of the vulva and excessive leucorrhea (vaginal discharge).

Trichomonas is a very small parasite that often lives in the vagina. It is often transmitted through public baths and swimming pools. It can also be transmitted to men through sexual intercourse, where it lives in the male urethra and prostate. After infection, the leucorrhea is often more, thinner, and slightly yellow.

Fungi usually come from intestinal infections. Some people have fungi parasitic in their large intestines, which can be transmitted to the vagina after defecation. After infection, leucorrhea often becomes white, like tofu dregs, and is itchy. The vagina of pregnant women has low resistance to fungi and is more susceptible to infection.

2. Cervicitis

It is often called cervical erosion, which is basically the same thing.

The cause is usually chronic bacterial infection of the cervix, which makes the originally smooth cervix rough and prone to bleeding. Common symptoms include excessive vaginal discharge, lower back pain, and a small amount of bleeding after intercourse.

The cervix is the only channel for sperm to enter the uterus, so after cervicitis, the viscosity of the mucus in the cervix changes, making it difficult for sperm to enter the uterus. So, just like vaginitis, it is not easy to get pregnant after suffering from cervicitis (cervical erosion).

3. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

It is often said that adnexitis, salpingitis, hydrosalpinx, and fallopian tube obstruction can all be collectively referred to as pelvic inflammatory disease. It is caused by chronic bacterial infection of the pelvis.

The female pelvic cavity is connected to the outside of the body through the fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, vagina and body. Therefore, the pelvic cavity is easily infected by external bacteria. It should be emphasized that people who have unclean, overly frequent, and chaotic sexual lives often suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease.

Symptoms of pelvic infection are often dull pain in the lower abdomen, back pain, excessive vaginal discharge, and infertility. Sometimes the attack is acute, with fever and severe stomach pain.

The treatments for pelvic inflammatory disease are not very effective. You can take oral anti-inflammatory drugs, Chinese patent medicines, etc., or you can also receive physical therapy. Of course you need to go to the hospital and ask a doctor to help treat you.

Many of the people who come to the hospital for infertility treatment have blocked fallopian tubes due to pelvic inflammatory disease, so symptoms such as lower abdominal pain and back pain need early treatment.

If you have suffered from pelvic inflammatory disease and are now pregnant (you are lucky), of course you should keep this precious child. If you have an abortion, it is hard to say whether you can get pregnant again in the future.
